Sort of gives the old saying "will the last one out please turn off the lights" a new connotation. Unfortunately, we'll still be here -- sitting in the dark. Ayn Rand wrote a book called "Return of the Primitive". We're living it.

The costs of complying with the regulations will result in an increase in electricity prices of 10 to 35 percent and cost 600 jobs, AEP said. The money quote.

This is absolutely outrageous. Taking 5 power plants off line is an enormous loss of power. Americans are going to start seeing rolling brown outs at some point if this continues. Maybe then everybody will get mad enough to call and scream at the no nothing do nothings in Congress to control the EPA. That agency has to be eliminated and soon.

We must not reelect Obama.

Another “It's time for pitchforks and torches” moment.
We have an unaccountable government agency making policy decisions that are destroying our economy.
Where are our elected reps to stop this madness?

I do, in a roundabout way with our deregulation.

Y’know, that 35% increase in electricity rates will sure cut down on the benefits of your brand-new Chevy Volt, won’t it!

What gripes me is that many of the idiots that will vote for Obama will be screaming the loudest when their bills go up!

Another It's time for pitchforks and torches moment... Where are our elected reps to stop this madness?Perhaps that's what the torches are for, to locate them? But I have long since concluded that the pitchforks-and-torches moment is not going to occur. Not enough people give enough damb. Physically attending a protest or demonstration is just too inconvenient for the busy sheep, and too strenuous for the fat sheep, and too risky for the falsely-secure sheep.

Look on the bright side. The people that are gonna lose their jobs can “invest” in new “green” initiatives. They can help save the world now.

Possession of torches and pitchforks is not allowed except for government-approved workers.
