Casey Anthony's murder trial was cut short today when she was taken ill after pictures of her dead daughter's skull were shown.
Anthony cried and looked away as graphic photos of her two-year-old daughter Caylee's remains were shown to the jury at the trial in Orlando. Judge Belvin Perry had warned anyone who might become queasy to leave the courtroom before the images were displayed.
Shortly after the images were shown he sent the jury home for the day, asking them not to speculate about why court was ending early.
Earlier in the day Anthony's brother, Lee, testified his sister had told him a nanny abducted her daughter because she didn't think the 25-year-old was a good mother.
Anthony dabbed her eyes with a tissue as a series of images revealed how pieces of duct tape were still attached to her daughter's remains.
She is on trial accused of murdering little Caylee in June 2008, before hiding her body in the woods near her home. Caylee's remains were not found until December that year.

Yes.
Casey is a very cold, self-centered young woman who is only content when the attention is focused on her. Today is a perfect example. The attention was totally focused on Caylee -or what was left of her - and suddenly Casey is "ill". She also did a really poor job of crying. One lone tear here or there and the same tissue all day.
I also believe she will get a retrial based on the stupidity of her attorney - Baez.

Yeah, I see your point. I don’t follow these cases normally. I consider them people magazine stuff. But Something in the headline got my curiosity. I assumed she was the grieved mother sitting in the gallery while some monster was being tried for killing her daughter.
What I’m reading is that SHE is being accused of being the monster. I’ll check to see how the jury decides and how long it takes them.
Hard to say what finally tipped her from a selfish, spoiled brat into infanticide.
Her parents supported her before, during and after her unmarried pregnancy. She fabricated having a job and a babysitter; probably because any income she had was close to prostitution and she had to pretend Caylee was being cared for.
At the point where Caylee was beginning to talk in sentences to her grandparents and describe much of what Casey wanted to hide - the baby became a liability. It’s also possible Caylee was too much baggage for the boyfriends.
After Cindy began to show more affection & concern for Caylee and more animus toward Casey - Casey came up with the final solution; punish Cindy and remove the impediment to her wanton life-style.

Well, maybe “defenders” is too strong, but plenty of people who said the prosecutors couln’t prove she did it. They were cheering on her aquittal, and defending it tooth and nail.
One went so far as, when it was discovered that “neck breaking” had been Googled on Casey’s computer, along with “head injuries” “chloroform” etc., the defender said “Neck Breakers is the name of a BAND!” Like we’re all idiots.
My bad. I guess they opened for “Head Injuries” and “Chloroform.”

When I hear people say that the prosecution can’t prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt I remember the same people said the same thing about Scott Petterson, when you look at both cases, there was MUCH less evidence against him then there is against Casey Anthony..and not only was he convicted in California, he is on death row..so if he can be convicted on far less evidence then Casey Anthony is gonna get the needle put in her arm
It doesn’t matter how obvious the guilt, or how solid the case.
Some people just live to be defenders of the indefensible.

IMHO, what did she expect? Do you bury a little child with duct tape around her head in a hole and expect her to stay pink and fresh? Many people can act out an emotion. it is drama. I am sure her attorney’s schooled her very well about how to act and when. IMHO
My mom & dad din’t want to spend the big bucks at the “Y” for my swimming lessons. Did it themselves. Put duct tape over my mouth so I wouldn’t swallow any water. And wrapped me in plastic bags so I wouldn’t get wet. I was so nervous they gave me some chloroform to relax me a tad.
