So Bachmann’s Palin-bashing extends to her fans here on FR?

Please make your allegiances clear, if you are going to bash Palin.

Or are you hoping to instigate division between them?

Mitt?

I do not believe that she would go independant. This would only split the vote and ensure another 4 years of the magic negro. She’s not that stupid.

No “Independent” accomplishes anything in American politics. It takes a huge party to move this country. Nobody knows that better than Sarah Palin.

My fear is that short-sighted Palin die-hards will trash everyone else running in the GOP primaries to the point where Romney sneaks off with the nomination.

Then we will be royally screwed whether Sarah runs as an Independent or not, since there is no way Obama loses.

I thought National Review had written Sarah Palin off because she was stupid. Then again, ever since they anesthetized The Corner, I’m betting they need the hits however they get ‘em.

She used the word “independent”, therefore she will run as one? Dumb idea, must have come from a liberal. In fact, Sarah would have to be a stupid as the Left Stream Media would have you believe to consider it. All she would do is assure 4 more years of Obamunism, and she knows that.

Wrong on Palin and “Independent” party, no, she’ll WIN the GOP Primary, no need to have to go to “Independent.”

No, she’s not going to run as an independent. She has a lot more political savvy than that.

As an aside, any article from NRO needs to be viewed through the question “how does this article help Mitt Romney?”

Palin gushed

First, you see ejdrapes as the poster. Then you notice it's from NRO. Then you read this.

No need to read further. Another condescending piece from one of NRO's large collection of idiot pundits. Who does KLo favor this time? Mitt Romney again? Chris Christie? His only accomplishment was a couple of amusing YouTube interviews attacking the Teachers Union. But as yet, he has done little or nothing to put those words into practice.

"I think it changes the question from ‘Will Obama win?’ to ‘Will Obama win by double-digits?"

That would depend on how much Obama's ratings continue to slip and who the GOP nominates. Under the right circumstances a third party run may not save Obama. This would particularly be the case if someone on the left pursues an independent run as well.

If Sarah Palin decides to run, it will be as a Republican. Her use of the word “independent” is to signal that she will not be beholden to the Republican hierarchy. Besides her being right on the issues with the courage to follow thru, her independence from the corrupt GOP elite is what I admire most about Palin. We’ll finally have a president “of the people” should she be elected.

This is based on another bogus Fox poll.

They oversampled Democrats by 8% (44% to 36%) over Republicans — http://www.foxnews.com/interactive/us/2011/06/08/obama-approval-drops-romney-tops-gop-preference/ — whereas Rasmussen’s careful methodology actually calls for including more Republicans than Democrats at this point. That Fox so oversampled Democrats suggests that they were calling in disportionately liberal areas of the country, which would further skew the results.

I agree that Palin’s path to the presidency via the Republican primary looks increasingly untenable

How anyone could draw that conclusion is beyond me. She is tied or leading in the polls without even entering the race and before she would take part in any debates or events. These DC insiders are absolute morons.

If she enters and does not do someone silly, she wins. Period. No one in this race has a third of the support, money, or campaign ability that she does. This is not favoritism on my part, I am absolutely uncommitted, and probably would lean against voting for her in the primary at this stage in the game. Facts are facts, though.

Well, let's put it this way.

If Mitt Romney is the GOP nominee, and Sarah Palin runs as an independent, who will you vote for?

I know who I would vote for --- and his name ain't Willard.

You didn’t actually think the NRO boys would quote one of the polls from this week that has had Palin within 2% of Romney or even ahead by 2%, did you?

I’ve been thinking the same thing. She may just go independent. It shouldn’t come as a surprise. Like so many of us who are sick of the pitiful job performance of the Republican party Palin is sick of the incompetence. If Romney wins the nomination it will leave a whole lot of us wondering what to do. I could vote for Bachman, Palin, Cain, Pawlenty, Gingrich, Trump, even Huckabee. Obviously many of the above aren’t my favorites but I could give them my vote. I simply can not vote for Romney.

I voted for McCain only because of Palin but if I could do it over I would not do it again. I won’t make that mistake again. No more McCains, no more sticking with the party cause if I don’t the Dems win. If nothing else, if Palin goes independent, it may, just may send a message to the Repubs that we are sick of their RINO attitude.

Yea sure the Dems might, I’m not convinced Palin would lose in a non-rigged election, just might retain the Presidency. If we could take the Senate and keep the House the damage could be contained and our message to the Republican leadership would be made.

But what if winning a Republican primary battle is not what Palin has in mind?

Yeah, and what if monkeys fly out of Daniel Foster's butt? I'm not saying they will, but what if they do? What then, huh?

We just have to wait.
