Is it possible to remain a sitting member of Congress after a photo of your (ahem) “standing member” has been released on the Internet? We’re about to find out.
Because Anthony Weiner isn’t going anywhere. Despite all the texts and pics and personal humiliations, Rep. Weiner will not resign. Period.
And if you don’t believe me, ask Bill Clinton — which, by the way, is what Weiner’s doing right now.
“Rep. Anthony Weiner explained himself and apologized for his conduct to Bill Clinton,” Politico.com reported yesterday.
What did he apologize to Clinton for?
Perhaps Weiner feels bad about undermining Clinton’s efforts to convince Americans the Democrats were the family values party.
Regardless, Weiner’s “off-the-record” phone call to Clinton made it into the press, which is exactly what he wants. The more Weiner’s name appears in news stories with Bill and Hillary, the harder it is for Democrats to stand up and demand his resignation. Which — if you check the record — they haven’t.
And unless a particularly icky photo appears, or some evidence of actual contact between Weiner and his Twitter-ettes, they won’t.
As of this writing, not a single national Democratic office holder has called for Weiner to resign. When New York Republican Rep. Christopher Lee posted a photo of his bare chest on Craigslist a few months ago, the GOP leadership had him disappear faster than a witness at a mob trial.
But Democrats don’t resign.
Rep. Charlie Rangel was caught red-handed cheating on his taxes, hiding income and improperly using rent-controlled housing, but he’s still a proud member of Congress.
Tim Geithner was caught cheating on taxes. His job today? Treasury secretary.
And then there’s Big Daddy himself, Bill Clinton. Cheater, liar, perjurer, obstructor of justice — much of it...

Even if Congress Critter Weiner doesn’t resign due to his lack of personal discretion, I’m sure he’ll be suffering “Electile Disfunction” at the polls (should he last that long)...
Even Wide-Stance Larry Craig resigned. but hey, he liked weiner too.
This is a demonstration of two ugly truths about liberalism:
1) Anything that advances communism is a moral good. Anything that thwarts it is evil. The left is more angry at this scandal being exposed (thwarting their power) than they are about it happening.
2) Liberals recognize no moral standards except 1). They reject any other behavioral standards, especially in the deviant sexual arena. If they make Weiner resign, that’s a de facto support of sexual behavioral standards. This is why they recoil from pursuing him too hard.
Do not forget Congressman Jefferson caught with 90 grand in his freezer. He refused to resign, stayed in Congress 3 more years while being reelected by his idiot constituency and the only way he was removed was by conviction and a long prison sentence.
How could a modern democrat not be gay? Being straight is so pedestrian. It´s clear: straight rats are haters.

I was thinking he was not going to resign, now I think it is 50/50.
The Democrats are trying to figure out what is going to fly with the public. When a reporter shoves a mic in their face and asks about Weiner, they have two possibilities:
1. “I call for a full and complete investigation by the Ethics Committee to determine any wrongdoing” or
2. “I call on him to resign”
If enough of the big-wig Democrats feel comfortable with option 1, then Weiner will not resign. He will pledge full cooperation with the Ethics Committee investigation and pretend that his wife is making him sleep on the couch and that is penalty enough. In that case, the Ethics Committee, after a long investigation during which this matter fades from the front pages, will make him reimburse some of the cost of his telephone and computer usage.
If they can’t swing option 1, then he will resign, as long as they agree to provide him a job somewhere in the Democrat propaganda machine probably on Soros’ payroll.
That’s what being decided. Obviously considerations of morality or shame do not come into play in the case of the Democrats. Anyone working for the class warfare is ipso facto a “righteous” person in Democrat-land regardless of how sleazy or dishonest a person he is.
A decision one way or the other before the weekend.

The problem for Pelosi and the democrats is that weiner has a compulsion for sexting. He can't stop...and when he thinks he's in the clear, he'll start again.
His computer would probably show that the congressman is into porn.
Reid has abandoned him. He will be forced to resign, IMHO.
