Gennette Cordova said she did not even think the photo was real.
It was nearly 9 p.m. on a Friday when Cordova, who was preparing to head out for the night with a friend, logged onto Twitter and discovered that Rep. Anthony Weiner had sent her a suggestive photo of himself in gray boxer briefs.
"It didn't make any sense," Cordova, a 21-year-old college student in northwestern Washington state, said in her first extensive interview since Weiner confessed in a news conference Monday to sending her the photo. "I figured it must have been a fake."
Cordova's experience with Weiner appears to fit a pattern: In rapid and reckless fashion, he sought to transform informal online conversations about politics and policy into sexually charged exchanges, often laced with racy language and explicit images.
Cordova, who had text-messaged with Weiner, a New York Democrat, about their shared concern over his conservative critics, said she had never sent Weiner anything provocative. Asked if she was taken aback by Weiner's decision to send the photo, she responded, "Oh gosh, yes."

Weiner is basically an on-line exhibitionist. He's the pervert flashing an acquaintance as she leaves work or walks in her front door. I just hope he doesn't resign. He's the face (and prick) of the Democratic Party right now. If he refuses to step down, he becomes the Mark Foley of 2012. I just wonder when the under-age recipients start to emerge.
A: Thanks, Mistress Wanda. I know all you guys are avid users of social media. As public servants, or as Party members being groomed to serve, you are no doubt in casual contact with dozens if not hundreds of young, nubile females around the country. Unfortunately, most just want to tell us how much they hate the dishonest, sleazy conservatives. The key here is to turn those pointless conversations in a more meaningful direction. As you may have heard, I have personally devised some bold tactics that are guaranteed to make it happen.
It may sound odd, or even a bit shocking, but the most effective approach is to simply send all the girls on your list a photo of your erect penis. The girls we're looking for will see it and think, "He must like me!" This gets rid of the wonks right away, avoiding the potential embarrassment of getting caught making stuff up on some arcane policy topic - and who has time to learn all that crap? Remember: avoiding embarrassment is the name of the game.

Let me just say this: if you're scared to man up, then resign yourself right now to a pathetic life of p0rn vids - when you could be swapping sexy messages with a possibly real girl!
