Palin chief blasts Rollins, expects 'retraction'

Sarah Palin's chief of staff blasted Michele Bachmann strategist Ed Rollins today after Rollins criticized the former Alaska governor and suggested to POLITICO that his candidate would benefit by comparison to her

"Beltway political strategist Ed Rollins has a long, long track record of taking high profile jobs and promptly sticking his foot in his mouth," said Sarah PAC chief of staff Michael Glassner in an emailed statement. "To no one's surprise he has done it again, while also fueling a contrived narrative about the presidential race by the mainstream media. One would expect that his woodshed moment is coming and that a retraction will be issued soon."

Correction: The ladies aren't fighting yet. And the head of Sarah's PAC is correct. Ed Rollins has a long history of sticking his feet squarely between his teeth.

If Sarah enters the contest I don't expect to hear her nor Mrs. Bachman bad mouth each other. But I don't expect Sarah is going to enter the race.

The damage is done, the deal is sealed, Bachmann’s silence is deafening.

Palin had nothing to do with this and now she’s been pulled into a tawdry mess, thanks to Bachmann.

Horrid judgment on her part to even hire Rollins and now she’s had chances aplenty to fire him and hasn’t.

It dawns on me that Bachmann would have to be a complete idiot to not know that Rollins wrote those two anti-Palin columns/articles that VR posted yesterday, so maybe we ought to drop the pretense that Bachmann was *in the dark* about Rollins' disdain for Sarah Palin.
