Rollins Wants Palin Allies for Bachmann (also wants Sarah as ally!)
CNN ^ | Wednesday, June 8, 2011 | Paul Steinhauser and Gabriella Schwarz

Veteran Republican campaign strategist Ed Rollins, who signed on to steer Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann's looming presidential bid, said his recent criticism of Sarah Palin is not part of an electoral strategy.

SNIP

But the former CNN contributor said he needs to adjust from "being a political analyst back to being a strategist."

"I don't think Palin runs and if she does we will deal with it. There obviously is a trend in the media to link them," Rollins told CNN. "In the long run we want Palin and her people as our allies."

In an interview with POLITICO, Rollins said the Bachmann campaign will be "so much more substantive."

"People are going to say, 'I gotta make a choice and go with the intelligent woman who's every bit as attractive,'" Rollins said.

Listen jerk. Cut the crap using the word, "haters."

You sound like some out of control, liberal moonbat.

.

No one here hates Palin.

Some of us prefer Palin. Some of us prefer Bachmann.

Apparently you do not understand the preference concept.

Here's and example: given two flavors of ice cream; vanilla and strawberry.

You prefer vanilla, I prefer strawberry. Do I hate vanilla?

Bad, bad, bad move, Michele.

I agree. If I were she, I'd fire his ass. "The Twins" (yes, I like them both) should not be going after each other.

If Bachmann doesn’t disavow Rollins she hurts herself big time.

Exactly how I feel about it, unlike Palin, she has no executive experience, we know - now — what sort of people she would hire and I am not impressed. This is a huge fail on Bachmann’s part.

Just last week on Fox they tried to get Palin to dis Bachman and she refused, saying we are good friends. All we know about how Bachman would govern is the people she surrounds herself with now running for office, this was the worst move she possibly could have made IMHO.

I love, love, love Herman Cain. Beck just had him on his program for most of the show tonight.

What a thought! If Texas has closed party primaries and could move the date, Texas with its significant electoral votes could really show the way. The media hype over Iowa and New Hampshire never made any sense to me.

Oh, please. Don’t defend this idiot to me. I know all about him. I’m probably older than you and I don’t need a lecture on campaigns, thanks.

This ought to put to rest any suggestion that Rollins is a loose cannon.

Rollins is a hired gun, period, just like Carville and Dick Morris. He represented Ross Perot in 1991.

I like Michelle Bachman and I hope she doesn't let Rollins influence her to soften her positions and "move to the middle" like most political consultants do. Their job is to do the polling and focus groups and so on to see what people are thinking. They then advise their client to move in the direction of the polls. They never seem to see that what people are thinking is directly influenced by what the media tell them. Rarely do we see a strong conservative stick to their positions and give people the chance to choose between a true conservative and a true liberal.

I would like Bachman to say, "Ed, these are my positions and I am not going to change them. It is your job to sell those positions, not change them. Now do that!

We need this next election to be that choice.

Defend him? Didn’t defend him a bit, just commented on his usual routine. I’m sure you are older than me too...I’m not crotchety yet.

If you don’t already know that both Bachmann and Rollins are loose cannons you must be brain dead.

Bachmann has been in self-destruct mode for months, and now she hires the doctor of destruction to run her “campaign,” which is nothing but an attempt to dilute conservative influence in the 2012 primaries.

Bachmann has been bought out, or turned into a pod candidate from the planet Obama.

What a piece of excrement!

Anyone left here that still thinks Bachmann is a real conservative?

She talks the talk, but walks the dark streets of Obama victory.

I never said anything about two women, but now it is time to dump the Romney one that hired Rollins for whatever evil purpose she has in mind, she and Rollins will destroy any chance conservatives have of beating Romney.

Rollin’s first job would have been to inform Bachmann that she has little chance

Or tell her the Beltway sees Romney/Bachmann as the Dream Team

“Bachmann will not recover from this.”

Nor should she. I believe this was planned and deliberate.

Bachmann pulled out her check book to hire this attack performed.

No, its the real Bachmann coming out again.

She has talked the talk, but when the chips are down she’s an establishment puppet.

How do you know??

She talks lots of conservative ideas, but she has yet to offer any tangible support. She appears to be ready to cave on the debt ceiling again.

In no way are they “twins.”

Bachman has shown herself to be owned by the GOP elite.

I sent her the max donation last year, and now I really feel stupid. She has zero chance of being elected, and has no executive experience; what is she doing? Helping to shoot down the real candidate, that’s what.

I guess her seat in congress will be going dem next year.
