Has not protected the border. Guardasil, TTC, etc.

At the end of the day he is a RINO who has been re- elected because his opponent sucked worse.

The Guardasil mandate is a complaint I keep seeing pop up on these Perry threads.

Is this an accurate statement from back then?....

“Perry’s order directs the Health and Human Services Commission to adopt rules for the requirement, which is effective in September 2008.

Parents would be allowed to opt their daughters out for medical, philosophical, religious or moral reasons, as they can do now for other required vaccines.”

AUSTIN, TX — Gov. Rick Perry added immigration legislation to the special session's agenda on Tuesday, including a measure that would remove local law enforcement agencies’ ability to not prioritize immigration violation.

In a Tuesday afternoon statement, Perry also added measures that would require state authorities to check a person's immigration status before issuing a driver's license and also checking a person's immigration status when they are arrested.

“Texas owes it to the brave law enforcement officials, who put their lives on the line every day to protect our families and communities, to give them the discretion they need to adequately do their jobs,” Perry said. “Abolishing sanctuary cities in Texas, using the federal Secure Communities program and ensuring that only individuals who are here legally can obtain a valid Texas driver's license sends a clear message that Texas will not turn a blind eye to those breaking our laws.”

WHAT have any of the rest of the Republican candidates done?
Come on. Let's hear it.
Nothing- and they won't.

Perry knows he was wrong to push the vaccine and the hwy.
If this is the worst he's done, I can live with it.

The fact is; we need a candidate who can WIN against the Marxist/Muslim usurper.
As much as I love our beautiful ladies, Palin and Bachmann,
they cannot win against this monster, Obama. They just can't.

Perry is in many ways the man the liberals feared George W. Bush was, but Perry is a better stump speaker and has served in office at more levels than his predecessor.
He is not a perfect candidate, but such a candidate does not exist and never has. But Perry is one of the few potential candidates with both the skill and record to build a credible national effort quickly, and turn the national political landscape around in his favor. If he were to run, Rick Perry would be a very strong candidate.

I am surprised and puzzled that fellow Texans would spew their venom and try to destroy their own governor, when it's clear that he is one of the few with a chance to beat the monster currently in office.
Every time Perry is mentioned, this forum turns into something resembling Democratic Undergound.
Frankly, due to the viscous attacks on Perry, I'm beginning to wonder if his detractors aren't some of the resident Libs who are afraid Perry might actually pose a threat to Obama.
