Yep....agree.

Read an listen versus watch an be indoctrinated is my rule.

Love old movies here as well. Watched a 1912 version of frankenstine made by the Edison movie company... Dorky but fun to watch.

I collect old silent movies an radio shows old books etc....

Cold beer an a book with radio on is my multitasking these days...

I love old movies. Our collection is over 2600. I created a monster suggesting we get a dvr. Hubby is obsessed, seriously, obsessed with recording all these old films. TCM is on his speed dial. What's wrong with that?

He's an electrical engineer, so now, we have a hard drive linked up to our TV's and can view all the movies without inserting a dvd. How cool is that?

Hubby just watched King Kong, the 30's original. He was surprised how fun that movie is. That movie stomped on everyone, trashed everything!

My dad and I (only girl, 4 brothers), watched the Johnny Wiesmuler Tarzan movies. I loved them. My fav silent movie so far is 'Hunchback'. Lon Cheney, brilliant.
