Romney to Tea Party movement: No third party bids!
CNN ^ | 03/9/2010 | By: CNN Political Producer Peter Hamby

Washington (CNN) - Mitt Romney has a message to Tea Party candidates nationwide: If you lose your Republican primary bids, stay on the sidelines.

The former Massachusetts governor on Monday warned the grassroots movement not to mount third party efforts in general elections, which he said would siphon votes from Republican nominees.

"If there is a conservative candidate that runs in the general election, then obviously, divide and fail is the result," Romney said in an interview with the conservative Web site Newsmax. "Hopefully Tea Party candidates will run in respective primaries and they will either win or lose. And if they win, they will go into the general. If they lose, they won't, and they will get behind the more conservative of the two finalists."

Romney explained that "dividing our conservative effort in the general elections" would "basically hand the country to Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, and that would be very sad indeed."

He is trash, but he's kept it hidden for a long time until now. It's a little scary that he's touted as a conservative, and broadcasts on conservative talk radio affiliates.

The Jerry Doyle Show continues to reign as the fastest growing show in TRN Enterprises’ history, airing on over 200 affiliates nationwide, 17 of which are in the top 25 metro markets, and ranking as the 7th largest syndicated show in the nation, with over 3.75 million weekly listeners, according to Talkers Magazine.

I can understand that point of view but I also want anyone even thinking about a "third party" candidacy that they will get no support from me.

You want what? I want you to review your posts before you hit the post button. Otherwise, it makes you look like a moron.

Which from your post I can clearly see that you are not. You're just displaying your grasp of group think. Be patient, one of your masters will fill you in on the correct action when it becomes too damn obvious for even a liberal to miss.

Yes, I know, that will be about the same time hell freezes over. But go ahead and buy yourself a good fur coat so as to be ready, because that train is coming down the tracks faster than you think and it's going to rip through your group think like a tornado in Joplin.

And you just cannot imagine how upsetting your lack of support will be. Just thinking about it makes me want a chocolate ice cream cone.

If you don't want BigEars to win again, the best thing you can do is think long term and never vote for a Rino again. And that may well mean never vote Republican again. If that's what it takes, that's what's going to happen. Count on it. Even if you have to use your toes.

“Never heard of him. Sounds like trash to me.”

Thin, weedy, petulant voice. Thin, weedy, petulant attempts to cobble a Frankenstein compromise viewpoint from bits and bobs of conservative, libertarian, and status quo ideas and programs. No real center, no real consistency, no real vision, no real future.

You have not missed much.

Since when is Romney a Conservative?

Heck! He’s not even a Republican...

His entire record proves it!

He couldn’t be more ‘liberal’ and ‘democrat’ if he tried!

You aren't fooling anyone with that tripe.

You've supported Giuliani and Trump and would again. No difference between Rudy, Trump and Willard. All three yahoos are in the same leftist league of rinos.

You are demented!

You look @ his bio & his acting gigs have included push-the-envelope shows like NYPD Blue, Beverly Hills 90210, and liberal venues like HBO (HBO movie).

Doyle's no true "conservative" when he has helped push the envelopes of these media outlets.

Do you not understand, I am NOT a Romney fan and I will NOT be supporting him at the caucus.

Sure do. You said it countless times.

But you also said you would enthusiastically support him in the general even against a conservative.

This is not 2008 where we have a wishy-washy Rino against a socialist. In that case you bite your tongue and vote for the wishy-washy Rino. Romney is not a Rino - he is a leftwing statist and he and his belt way buds have taken significant steps to oppose conservatives - even ones that won the primaries.

You just don't seem to get it. He is not on our side - not even a little.

To: Jim Robinson; All

Do we have a list of the official websites or email addresses for each candidate? How about contact info for the GOP? For sure I want to let them know THEY will not select my candidate for me EVER AGAIN.

Thanks in advance.

I think Demint put it best when speaking about the mid-terms last year, and I would carry this statement for the WH as well.

"I don’t want the majority back if we don’t believe anything," DeMint said on Fox News. "So I think if we want the numbers, if we want the majority, then we’re going to have to stand on some principles that the American people believe in.”

A vote for Romney in any way is a vote for the conservative agenda to be held hostage, sabotaged, or watered down to the point of it being unrecognizable.

If Romney is coronated as the nominee, I will be working tirelessly to provide more conservative back-up to the Congress to stop Obama's or Romney's agenda.

Romney is evil incarnate.

By the souls of the Maucks who are dead because of Mitt Romney,
we will fight against the GOP if they dare put the bastard Romney
on ANY ticket, any way, any where.

Has ROMNEY been a man to take Ownership for the attack on the Maucks?

"Governor Mitt Romney, who touts his conservative credentials to out-of-state Republicans,
has passed over GOP lawyers for three-quarters of the 36 judicial vacancies he has faced
,
instead tapping registered Democrats or independents -- including two gay lawyers who
have supported expanded same-sex rights, a Globe review of the nominations has found.
Of the 36 people Romney named to be judges or clerk magistrates, 23 are either registered Democrats
or unenrolled voters who have made multiple contributions to Democratic politicians
or who voted in Democratic primaries, state and local records show.
In all, he has nominated nine registered Republicans, 13 unenrolled voters,
and 14 registered Democrats."

Romney Rewards one of the State's Leading Anti-Marriage Attorneys by Making him a Judge
Romney told the U.S. Senate on June 22, 2004, that the "real threat to the States is not the
constitutional amendment process, in which the states participate,
but activist judges who disregard the law and redefine marriage . . ."
Romney sounds tough but yet he had no qualms advancing the legal career of one
of the leading anti-marriage attorneys.
He nominated Stephen Abany to a District Court.
Abany has been a key player in the Massachusetts Lesbian and Gay Bar Association which,
in its own words, is "dedicated to ensuring that the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court decision
on marriage equality is upheld, and that any anti-gay amendment or legislation is defeated."
- U.S. Senate testimony by Gov. Mitt Romney, 6/22/2004 P>

"Romney announces he won't fill judicial vacancies before term ends
Despite his rhetoric about judicial activism, Romney announced that
he won't fill all the remaining vacancies during his term - but instead
leave them for his liberal Democrat successor!

Governor Mitt Romney pledged yesterday not to make a flurry of lame-duck
judicial appointments in the final days of his administration . . . David Yas,
editor of Lawyers Weekly, said Romney is "bucking tradition" by resisting the urge to
fill all remaining judgeships. "It is a tradition for governors to use that power to appoint judges
aggressively in the waning moments of their administration," Yas said.
He added that Romney has been criticized for failing to make judicial appointments.
"The legal community has consistently criticized him for not filling open seats quickly enough
and being a little too painstaking in the process and being dismissive of the input of the
Judicial Nominating Commission," Yas said.

Probe: Mitt missed chance to keep Tavares jailed - Could have nixed killer’s early exit

Friday, December 28, 2007 - Boston Herald
"Former Gov. Mitt Romney’s administration failed to act on disciplinary recommendations
that would have kept ex-con killer Daniel Tavares locked up another year -
and behind bars at the time he was accused of killing a newlywed couple in Washington state."

"Despite Tavares’ long history of violence, the Romney-led Department of Correction
took no action on recommendations that he be stripped of “good time” because
of assaults on prison guards in 2003 and 2005, said sources familiar with a state probe into the case."

Once again as Romney let conservatism slide (never had it anyway)
Romney made certain that they died.

Call it whatever you want but I cannot see me ever voting for a "third party" candidate as I view them as being egomaniacs who are willing to put their country in more peril. Either win the nomination or wait until next time.

All "third party" candidates are egomaniacs with little to no chance at winning. They can only help the RATs but of course if we're talking lib "third parties", then I love those folks.

Look, we all want the same thing and I don't like the way I have been called names. We have a difference of opinion in strategy but we have no difference of opinion regarding a desirable outcome.

I despise liberalism. I hate it. I've hated it my whole life. I will fight it every chance I get.
