This should nail it for him.
This situation is outrageous- that he did this in the first place shows he’s got serious personal demons he needs to come to terms with- but more disturbing to me is the way he was able to lie with such comfort, it came easily as though it’s second nature. He stumbled a couple of times in various interviews- but it didn’t seem it was from his discomfort with lying- more like trying to keep up with the tale he was weaving.
I really don’t see how he can stay...
“On June 1, he emailed her: “The key is to have a short, thought out statement that tackles the top line questions and then refer people back to it. Have a couple of iterations of: ‘This is silly.”
Hmmmm.....kinda like: “If I were giving a speech to 45,000 people and someone threw a pie.....”
LOL...this guy is a real piece of work.
"I dont know the details, but I know him [Weiner] to be a person of integrity and I am virtually certain he had nothing to do with this." -- U.S. Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY), 5/31/11
That's really interesting, Chuck, in light of this admission just yesterday:
"Last Friday night, I tweeted a photograph of myself that I intended to send as a direct message as part of a joke to a woman in Seattle. Once I realized I had posted it to Twitter, I panicked, I took it down, and said that I had been hacked. I then continued with that story to stick to that story, which was a hugely regrettable mistake. This woman was unwittingly dragged into this and bears absolutely no responsibility. I am so sorry to have disrupted her life in this way. To be clear, the picture was of me, and I sent it." -- Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY), 6/6/11
ROFL. It's a good thing Chuck Schumer is used to sticking his foot in his mouth.
