After interviewing Sarah Palin, Chris Wallace talked about her with his panel of guests and revealed that he was very impressed with her appearance. Unlike previous times when he interviewed her, Wallace noticed this wasnt just you betcha she was pretty sharp on the issues.
Wallace was eager to see if anyone else agreed with his review of Palins interview:
I thought she was a boffo performance today. It was the first time that I ever saw her and thought this woman is a serious if she decides to run candidate for President. And a serious possibility to be President.

Bill - Hey Sarah, if you run can I manage your campaign.
Sarah - What are you, flipping crazy???
She's not only pro-life, but her actions prove it. She is a fundamentalist Christian. She doesn't believe in most of the liberal hyperbole nor does she feel that we, the people and the country are doomed. She didn't go to the right schools, but even if she had, her ideas would alienate them. She's upbeat, smiles, is genuine.
They are all negatives to the beltway crowd and the media.
Nothing that a little bus tour can't take care of.
Funny, they keep saying that... as though they want to keep repeating it until everyone believes it's true.
by September Paul Ryan and Chris Christie will run and that GOP ticket will be Ryan/Rubio.
Ryan maybe... if I recall correctly, Rubio's not qualified because he's not a natural-born citizen.
I think her strategy is to fake out the WH so they target their guns on her, leaving the GOP space to sort out their differences and give the candidates space to breathe and raise money.
I also think her aim is to force the GOP candidates to sharpen their rhetoric on top issues.
I could be wrong, of course. Whatever her strategy is...I know she's trying do what's best for the US of A.
First of all, *those two*, would not jump into the race. Rubio is definitely not running.
Paul Ryan could possibly be talked into running, but then the entire 2012 race would be all about HIS BUDGET, *not* obama's failures on ALL FRONTS.
Bill Kristol is often emotional and short-sighted.
Chris Christie is loved by the Beltway and the North East pudits, but not by Conservative, because he's not conservative.
IMO, ONLY, were Jim DeMint to get *fire-in-his-belly* he's the one I could easily support were Sarah Palin not to run.
I have a desert area search plot that a survey (for birds) 2-3 times every ten days. I've got a black-chinned hummingbird female raising one chick in a nest in a desert willow (Chilopsis linearis).
She doesn't like it when I get near, though, so I check the nest status from about 20 feet away with my binocs.
Also been watching a brood of LeConte's thrashers turn into "punky teens."
I love my job!
Chris, you’re a little slow on the uptake; but, then, I understand, you’re in the media even if it is FNC.
I watched the Panel segment just for comic relief. After Wallace acknowledged that Palin gave a boffo performance, and he could see her both as a candidate for President and could easily imagine her as President, Strassel blubbered something about having to be more policy oriented and less interaction with people (as she did last week) if she wants to win. Has Strassel got wax in her ears? Does she think we’re all deaf?
And where does Strassel come off giving advice to a woman like Palin who upends sitting governors in the GOP primary by 32 points, beats two term former governors in landslides in big Democrat years and draws crowds of 60-70,000 on how to get elected? What has this Strassel woman ever done? Talk about hubris. Someone should ask Strassel that on one of these panels. And watch her squirm.
Watched a documentary on Huey Long. Huey was smart, as smart as or smarter than Newt. But when he went to Washington, he did had this “stemwinder” style that appealed to farmers. (Lincoln had the same style, so he did not give speeches like Roland Massey did in the film “Abe Lincoln in Illinois.” but flung his arms around and moved his feet. Toward the end, as he started seriously about running for President. He stopped all that, and began speaking to the newsreal cameras in a calmer way. Even his speaking style was a lot less “country.” The FDR people were scared to death of him. If Long had not been killed in September. 1935, he would have been running for Presient in 1936, and FDR was by no means a shoe-in, because the Depression was still going.
I also think her aim is to force the GOP candidates to sharpen their rhetoric on top issues.
.
my thoughts as well.
Palin/Ryan 2012
...plus her views on foreign policy is shaping up to go up against Kristol’s neo conservatives viewpoints...he went after her a couple of weeks ago trying to make her look like a Ron Paul isolationist, which he was wrong
Kimberly Strassal has gotta be a transsexual. She is sooooo homely I got my husband into the room to check her out. And she has the Seinfeldian “man hands.” That’s one rough-looking broad. No wonder she hates Sarah!
I like Demint, too. Not until I saw him on youtube. however, did I realize he is so lowkey. He manages to get the Establishment’s blood boiling without shouting.
I would actually prefer to see Ryan stay on in the House as Speaker in a Palin administration. You’re right, of course, when you assert that were he to declare, the race would be all about his budget, not 0bama’s shortcomings. He has a lot to offer. He’s a man of rectitude and principle, and that’s the reason why I want him to be Speaker of the House.
AHHH! EXCELLENT!
Her negatives are the attitudes of the ruling class, nothing more. That's it. She has no intrinsic negatives, only extrinsic negatives based on contempt for the Constitution and the American Way of Life.
Apparently Chris just stated listening today.
