BFL
probably means “bump for later” as in read it later (from one’s ping page).
But it could mean Babes For Lingerie, which I like better than Belgians and soccer.
Is there a ping list for that? I'm asking for a friend....
/johnny
“Bookmark For Later”
(but if there is a ping list for babes for lingerie...please add me)
Well,,,, I thought it might mean Big Fat Liar, which is one of the selections a wiki.
I think the force involved is supposed to be the weak force, not the strong force. However, I am skeptical at this point. It’s chemistry, not physics, and that involves the atoms, not the nuclei, In any event, it certainly isn’t any kind of fusion, cold or otherwise.
He’s tweaking the electrons’ valence for the transformation rather than blasting the nucleus.
The Cold Fusion Ping List
ditto that, put me on the Babes For Lingerie ping list.
Doesn’t anyone look at the source of the articles they post anymore? PESN.com = nutters.
What climate problems is this idiot speaking of?
Weellll, he "could" be talking about the coming next Ice Age, and event far more probable (and serious) than AGW. We'll need a whole lot of heat then.
Heck, he's a bureaucrat....even if he doesn't himself believe in AGW, he is obliged to give the mandatory "nod" to "climate problems".
Thanks for pinging me. I actually posted this same article last week, but forgot to ping you when I did so. I’ll try to ping you when I post LENR threads so you can ping your list.
Could be WD-40.
“I am not a nuclear scientists, but I can think.”
I’m sorry Citizen, if you don’t have a degree from an accredited institution of ‘higher learning’ you can’t think.
It’s just not permitted.
Yeah, but Rossi doesn’t think it’s the weak force-he thinks he’s getting true fusion in the nucleus. The guy from NASA thinks it’s something going on with the weak force, but Rossi says he’s seeing gamma radiation. That plus the copper would suggest the proton from the hydrogen is ending up in the nickel nucleus.
So I scan stories I want to read, note with a BFL - and save them until after dark
I hope I'm not committing some terrible sin?
Perhaps. But they don't control the opinion of Dr. Bushnell, now do they.
There have been a lot of claims over the years by true believers. Some of them by very smart people, but being smart, really believing what you say and not trying to hustle for cash is not the same thing is being right.
I had a college professor, an absolute genius, PHD in organic chemistry, absolutely convinced that fluoridation of water was going to cause the deaths of millions. He traveled around the country on his own dime for 30 years fighting to outlaw fluoride. Great guy, a wizard in the lab but his predictions did not pan out.
My point is, you can’t make any claim on validity based his personal characteristics. What I want to see is for him to give instructions on how to make his machine and see published results from other labs using reactors built on site.
Even if he is 100% legit, if he does not patent the secret sauce, he will never be able to market it. The first reactor that leave his facility will be on its way to China to be studied, analyzed, and copied. If he puts everything out there, in the patent, no one can suppress it, and he has legal protection.
I would love for this all to be true, but honestly, it doesn’t smell right. He claims patents but won’t patent what makes it work.
Yes, didn’t bother to click the article either.
Dummy science fraud in there somewhere.
Whoa!
Stop reading right there.
