Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney broke with Republican orthodoxy on Friday by saying he believes that humans are responsible, at least to some extent, for climate change.
"I believe the world is getting warmer, and I believe that humans have contributed to that," he told a crowd of about 200 at a town hall meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire.
"It's important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors."
The former Massachusetts governor fielded questions on topics ranging from the debt ceiling to abortion on his first official day of campaigning for 2012 Republican primary nomination.
Romney leads opinion polls in New Hampshire by a wide margin, and is among the top contenders nationally to win the Republican contest to challenge Democratic President Barack Obama.

What party does this guy think he belongs to? Somebody must be giving him some really bad information if he thinks that this middle of the road crap is going to get him anywhere. I have been saying all along that I’ll vote for whomever the Republican party nominates. Be it Palin, Bachmann, Trump, Cain... I may have to reconsider. Given how awful I felt about Voting for McCain last time I don’t think I could look myself in the mirror if I voted for Romney. It goes without saying, at least it should, that I’d never vote for any Dem but I’ll have to think seriously about Libertarian or Constitution party candidates if Romney wins.
I prefer to call Romney the White Obama..but hey, according to Krauthammer it’s HIS turn at the nomination..I think first we have to get rid of these progressive Republicans in the party..goes far beyond being a RINO, they are liberals, no different then Dems except they have a R next to their name

And I hate third-party fantasies with a passion. I clearly remember the disaster caused by Perot (twice), and have read of the disaster caused by the Bullmoose Party (Wilson).
We must nominate Palin for the GOP candidate, and then we won't have to worry about such disasters. The voters will finally have a choice other than communist or communist-Lite.
