Alec Baldwin goes on Twitter spree, claims ‘Romney has the best chance’

A week after his Twitter debut, “30 Rock” star Alec Baldwin tweeted heavily about politics and 2012 presidential contenders, possibly indicating that he himself will run for office in 2012.

The actor, who said earlier this year that he’s “very, very interested” in a political position, is rumored to be leaving “30 Rock” when his contract expires in 2012, just in time for the election.

“I want to take the opportunity to state that although my days on network TV may be numbered, I hope ‘30 Rock’ goes on forever,” Baldwin wrote in a Huffington Post piece in April.

Baldwin stoked the gossip on Thursday and Friday when he incessantly tweeted about the state of the nation and who would be a decent leader for the country. “Looking to me to be Romney-Pawlenty,” Baldwin first wrote on Thursday.

Ever wonder why almost every Democrat and Lefty wants the Republicans to run one of two Mormon candidates? Either Willard “RomneyCare” Romney or Jon “I love you, Barry!” Huntsman. Could it be they’d like to see the South, Evangelicals, Tea Partiers, Pentacostals, Baptists, pro-lifers and other conservatives stay home on election day or vote third party?

Alec, you know that given who you are and what your political positions have been, as far as conservatives are concerned you’ve just put a target on those guy’s backs, don’t you?

Alec Baldwin goes on Twitter spree, claims ‘Romney has the best chance...

His chances would be even better if he ran as a democrat.

At least then he wouldn't have to lie.

Alec Baldwin is a passable actor that got lucky by being cast on a TV show people seem to like (I’ve never watched it). He always appears to have a surly demeanor and an arrogance that even Barack Obama can’t match. I seriously doubt he’ll run for office (and take the pay cut). Baldwin’s rantings are of little interest to anyone but Alec Baldwin. However, his back-handed ‘endorsement’ of Mitt Romney is a hoot as it obviously does Romney more harm than good because Alec Baldwin his fairly well known to be a foaming-at-the-mouth leftist Democrat (forgive the redundancy). I’m just glad that Baldwin didn’t ‘endorse’ Sarah Palin!

Another insignificant kool-aid drinker with delusions of intelligence heard from.
I wish Romney were not already high on my list of "no way, no how, no time" list of candidates, so I could do something with this lightweight's "opinion."

Ignoring him is the next best thing, I suppose.

Oh, Baldwin's been a political legend in his own mind for quite a while now, and he loves to tell anyone, whether they want to listen or not.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

The Left wanted McCain to win the nomination in ‘08, and they got what they wanted. No surprise they’re now pushing Romney, knowing his chances of beating Obama are between slim and none.
