The SWAT officers who shot and killed a man while serving a search warrant last month gave at least two commands for someone to open the door before knocking it open, according to documents released Friday.
The officers told investigators that, upon opening the door, they saw a man appear in the hallway holding a rifle before they saw what they thought were muzzle flashes from his gun.
It was later determined Jose Guerena's rifle was on safety and he didn't fire at the officers.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department released hundreds of evidence photos and transcribed interviews with the SWAT officers who fired at Guerena during the raid on his home May 5.
The photos show the interior of Guerena's home - its walls painted a dark gray - and evidence collected at his home and three others searched that day. The photos show guns, ammunition, vehicles, cash, documents, cellphones and other items found at the homes or in the vehicles.

Once 0bama gets the court stacked in his favor the constitution will be meaningless.
The Constitution already is meaningless.
Enumerated powers? What enumerated powers?
Yes, they were watching Jose Guerena’s house ONCE. That’s how they knew he had a wife and two young children, one not old enough for school. And they knew he work the graveyard shift. Real observant. And that’s how they knew it wasn’t Jose who was following them. lol They didn’t know who followed them. Even after they killed Jose Guerena, they didn’t know who followed them. It took them how long to release the tidbit that it was a younger brother? Good thing Grandma wasn’t at home babysitting the little one on the day they broke into that house. She might have been the one on the autopsy table.
I have been looking for all the reports but can only find the unsigned undated affidavit for warrant wher is the rest, do you know? thanks
I agree with that too.

Man is that ever the understatement. An illegal alien sitting as president, a hundred plus trillion in national, state and local debt, and jobs that are dead end. Thank God for Christ and what He did on the cross, otherwise I would be out there getting even.
The scumbag lawyers who train cops tell them: "Just say you were in fear for your life."
11 year-old with a penknife? Say you were in fear for your life.
85 year-old man in a wheelchair? Say you were in fear for your life.
Homeowner coming out of his house to investigate an unmarked police car that pulled into his driveway? Say you were in fear for your life.
I don't know why this would be considered suspicious - were the detectives in an unmarked car? Family member have already been killed in home invasions, I'd think that seeing your brother's house being cased would be major cause for concern. The fact that a plate was run tells me that they probably complained to the cops, and the cops checked it out.
This is NOTHING that any concerned citizen wouldn't do.
But Dupkik's scumbags are using this as "evidence" that the guy was a "threat to police".
How stupid do they think we are?
Hey, ace reporter - let us know - (1) Were the detectives in an unmarked car? (2) WHO ran the plate check?
Oh, well then, as long as they said "open up"....[facepalm]
Onoz! He had.....documents! And (gasp) OTHER ITEMS! Not other items!
Now the cash I can understand raising suspicions. Having any of that left would indicate he's attempting to defy Comrade Obama's remaking of the economy by not obediently starving to death.
