He has already declared himself out of the 2012 presidential race. But after showing off his latest $100 million acquisition, Donald Trump may just be hinting at a return to the political lime light. Flying into New York yesterday, 'The Donald' showed off his new 757 jet, decked out in his trademark black and gold livery as it landed at LaGuardia airport.

I agree. I’ll bet you forgot to mention he was labeled with ‘Conservative’ too. When’s the last time you heard a Leftist labeled as one, or a Liberal, or anything else other than Democrat?

I do see progressive tossed out once in a while, but that’s such a blatant propaganda ploy, that everyone recognizes it for what it is.

So. I didn’t vote for him either. I was only 9 when he was elected.

If Trump wants to buy a space shuttle and fly it to Los Angeles from New York, I could care less.

I would care about that. That would be the coolest thing ever! No Trump fan here, but I would line up to watch that launch.

So if he flies to the West Coast, are people in the heartland said to be in comb-over country? ;^)

If his hair remains in place after take-off, can they accurately describe him as dePARTed?

Will he be described as all prattle and no hat?

"How did you calculate the odds?"

The article does NOT say that Trump bought the plane, only that it was bought from Allen.

I am VERY familiar with aircraft leasing...often a customer will shop for an aircraft, then have a leasing company buy it for lease. Other times the customer buys it, then sells to a lessor for immediate lease-back. Other times, the customer has an in-house company buy it and lease to the original entity.

There are ENORMOUS tax implications in owning vs leasing.

I owned a business aircraft market research company for 25 years, reporting on leases, sales, etc. Many of my customers were lessors, such as CIT Group, GE Capital, Cessna Finance, B of A, and many others. Big bucks, big business.

A bit decadent for my own tastes. I prefer the quiet dignified austerity of the Gulfstream 4.
