Are You Meeting/Talking to People Who Are Angry and Disgusted With the Government?

Are you running into people who are sick of the government? In line at the store? Contractors? Neighbors? Friends?

I have never seen such spontaneous statements of frustration and anger when just talking casually with folks. Anger at regulation, taxes, goverment controls, the legal system, the lack of justice and crime.

Just spoke with a contractor on the phone today. We were talking about the product we had to install and the requrements. turned into a fifteen minute frustration fest, as this man told me about how his work has been curtailed.

All this from nice, middle class people who usually are polite and vague when it comes to political issues.

What do you see? Anything like this. Seems like the country is boiling.

I think that the people I speak to are just not sure what to think about the future. They don’t care much about now, but there is a ton of worry for the future.

Just wait til the full-on depression hits, as it appears to be right around the corner.

I sure hope so. If people can't see what is happening by now, they are too stupid to be helped. Personally, I'm not running into a lot of frustration--but I don't socialize that much so that's probably why. Interested to see what other FReepers are hearing.

I’d love to see the President show respect to this man every day.

Yep. And the scariest part is going to see how people react.

We must surround ourselves with as many like minded people as possible.

Middle class Americans have been sold out by our leaders and as Obama and Soros have said, “We will have to get used to getting by with less (Obama) and, “Americans are going to have to learn to like their new Third World wages” (More candidly from Soros)

Welcome to the Left Wing Democrat Utopia

Where I work, the lib loudmouths are going quiet. That's a move in the right direction.

Yes, I am. From both Party affiliations. The problem is that both groups are blaming the other group for the anger.

I’m seeing two different moods, sometimes in the same people on an alternating basis:

1) the anger that you mention
2) a sense of hopeless helplessness coming from them knowing how screwed up things are but having no clue how to change it.

I admit to vacillating between the two myself, on my bad days.

I think people are finally fully feeling the burdens the gov’t has loaded on us ordinary middle class people. We work our butts off only to have our money stolen from us, a gazillion stupid laws dumped onto us, and then when we complain we get called “racist” and “selfish”.

People have a limit to how much abuse they are willing to tolerate (and this IS abuse) and they are rapidly reaching it.

According to the state run “media’s” polls, 48% of the people living in this country think Barry is doing a awesome job. That would be 1 of every 2 people you speak to. I’m still trying to find one. In Arizona, I think they all must live in Tucson or work for the Arizona Republic and never come out of their offices.

My neighbor is a psychiatrist. The other day we were talking some about the economy, Obama and politics. He was saying that he has never had so many angry patients. He has been practicing for nearly 40 years.

When TSHTF it will be too late to do anything. Call all of your elected reps now and tell them “zero budget deficits” from now on LESS $750 billion each year until the deficit is erased. And pressure them to pressure everyone to STOP QE3 before it starts.

Post their comments from your telephone calls on this forum.

If you even make the smallest comment in the grocery line everybody chimes in with their two cents worth. We are living in strange times.

I'll tell you what I see and it's scary, people who think socialism is a good idea and even some who think communism is a good alternative to our system. These are not your radical progressives but everyday average Joes I work with.

Had one guy tell me that nobody in the country should be allowed to make more than a million bucks a year and everything over that should be given to the government to redistribute. Said he had too many bills and guys like Trump don't need all that money anyway.

They listen to the media and come up with this crap.
