Thanks BlackDog. I appreciate the follow-up.

It looks then like a media concoction. Bush did raise the idea, and I did fall for it. For a period of time, it did seem like a good idea, some of the people over there raising up and replacing their leadership.

Once you take Gaza and the West Bank into consideration, you realize that may not be a good idea after all. Even Syria has come under the influence of Hezbollah in their government.

Oh well..., back to the drawing board.

The faithful to Islam in it's book form as read in the Koran is incompatable with democracy and it's liberties. The religion itself is "To Submit", or "Obey".

Prerequisites are a bitch. If you choose to ignore or put them off, you certainly pay the price on the disasterous back end. That is where we are regarding free democracies and Islamic States, the back end and we can't let go or go back to square one and start over.

I don't blame islam. They have been that way in a rather direct manner for centuries. It's the rest of the world who bought into the notion that riots, mobs, lynchings, stonings, beheadings, honor killing of women and girls, etc... were symptoms of an opressed people yearning for more freedom and liberty to do something different.

We are truely a box o' rocks.
