Gold trader to be executed for killing wife in battle to control multi-million dollar company

A wealthy gold dealer who murdered his estranged wife as they fought for control of his multi-million dollar trading business has been sentenced to death.

A Los Angeles jury decided on Tuesday that James Fayed, 48, should face the death penalty.

He was convicted two weeks ago of murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the fatal stabbing of his wife, Pamela.

Well, gosh, why didn't he just say so in the first place? Clearly this man is a victim and should NOT be held accountable for his actions. I say he should be released IMMEDIATELY...

Current estimates of time between a death sentence in California and the actual execution are from 25 to 40 years.
There are men on Death Row who have been there since 1979, and are no closer to execution today than they were then.

It's a farce, really, and the taxpayers have to fork over millions of dollars to keep it going.

He'll be a very old man by the time they get around to giving him the needle.
