Governor, let me ask you about immigration. How many undocumented immigrants are there in Alaska?

I don’t know, I don’t know. That’s a good question.
As governor, how do you deal with them? Do you think they all should be deported?

There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant -there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants- not only economically is that just an impossibility but that’s not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.

Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?

No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They’ve got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.

To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?

I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

Oh please----brighten up. By their very presence, illegals evince an utter contempt for America, Americans.............and our sacrosanct rule of law which uniquely defines the American way of life.

We do not need, nor do we want on US soil, those who are all too willing to destroy Western civilization, and our democracy, for their own self-serving ends.

Those duped by the "here for a better life" scam need to read this. They only look like they're mowing loans or flipping hamburgers.......the main occupation of these hyphenated-separatists is creating chaos to divert attention from the Third World they are building on US soil.

These criminals consider the United States an invader state---a foreign power imposed on Third World hellholes. They arrogantly refuse to refer to the US by its legal name. The US is known by Mexicans as el Norte, (“the North”), el Otro Lado (“the Other Side”), or Gringolandia (the “Anglo Entity”).

Phoenix Latinos will protest in Atlanta
"We are taking over this land and anybody who doesn’t like it should go back to Europe"

The Examiner | May 20th, 2011 | Miguel Perez
FR Posted Sat, May 21, 2011 by moonshinner_09

Georgia won’t be part of the proposed Latino homeland of Aztlán, but Latino civil rights leaders from Phoenix will march and protest in different parts of Atlanta next week for immigration laws they view as unjust. “Latinos won’t stay at the back of the bus anymore. We are taking over this land and anybody who doesn’t like it should go back to Europe,” says Jorge Serrano of Take Back Aztlán. “Racism should not be tolerated anymore in this country. Trying to get rid of Latinos is nothing but racist,” says Cecilia Maldonado of Chicanos Unidos Arizona, who will be meeting with Latino civil rights leaders in Atlanta to propose national boycotts. So some people "understand why they want to come here." Understand this: A Pew Hispanic poll from last year showed that 40 million of the 111 million Mexicans in Mexico right now want to immigrate here. (About 10 percent of the Mexican population already has.) What would our country be like after that happened?

Rewarding the ones who have come here illegally, in any way, encourages more of them. We could deport 12 million people if we wanted to (we did managed to get a man to the moon), but it would be much easier to enforce the laws that we have on the books, deny them all benefits and prevent them from working (employer sanctions) so they will deport themselves.
