Was it a flash mob that forced the closure of North Avenue beach on Memorial Day?
Chicago Police News Affairs released a statement saying they had to close the beach for safety reasons, as people were suffering heat exhaustion and emergency vehicles couldn't get through to help. But, WLS listeners say there was what they called a "large gangbanger element" at the Oak Street and North Avenue beaches.

Listeners report being at the beach, and seeing dozens of gang bangers pushing people off their bikes. Another listener says those causing havoc were not dressed for the beach and looked like "bad elements."
Webster's dictionary defines a flash mob as a group of people summoned (as by e-mail or text message) to a designated location at a specified time to perform an indicated action before dispersing. Flash mobs also can be organized via social media sites. But recently in Chicago, flash mobs have gathered along Michigan Avenue to do anything but entertain.
In January, groups of teens assembled along Michigan Avenue and shoplifted at three separate stores. Eleven teens ranging in age from 14 to 17 were arrested.

We’ve got a large Echo generation of fatherless children who hate/resent women and the society that ‘made’ them poor and black.
It’s a lie, but they believe it and they’ve been trained by race pimps to want to take it back by force.
Remember, they will not be called “flash mobs” by the media - they will be called “white racists”. I am so tired of the Lame Stream, State Run media calling mobs of black racists everything but. Terms like “drive by shootings”, “wilding”,
“angry groups of youths”, etc. are simply cover so as to allow the media to avoid describing what they really are - groups of blacks and/or Hispanics who perpetrate acts of violence - often on whitey.
Given that the police cannot handle it you would appear to be correct, but given that the law-abiding gun owner risks decades of incarceration for defending the good and honest makes me think this won’t happen until we get concealed carry.
BTW we’re not getting concealed carry in Illinois this session. It’s going to be another deadly summer.
I’m really glad to be living somewhere with CCW, castle, and no-retreat laws. That behavior won’t go far around here. Though there are still no go areas, or at least areas no sensible person would go.
Yes, being allowed to protect yourself with a firearm would help, but there is something else going on here that is very troubling. There appears to be a growing lack of a moral code, lack of respect for others, lack of respect for the law and for those who have been authorized to uphold it, and a general lack of respect for life. We have big problems.
IIRC statistics place 80% of poverty in homes run by single-moms without HS degrees, pregnant in their teens. The breakdown of the black family at the hands of The Great Society is the institution of a modern, more vicious slavery than you can understand.
It has left a generation at the mercy of race-baiting poverty pimps who agitate for just this kind of justice. It’s revenge promulgated upon young, angry youths looking for an excuse to act.

You’re right, though, these young people don’t lack for material goods once reserved for the wealthy. They lack for the spiritual goods available to all through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that and a loving human father to shepherd them right.

With LBJ in office, the rioters thought (correctly, as it turned out) that the mobs could smash, burn and loot without much consequence.
There is a similar thought process at work now. The mobs think they can do as they please with no consequence.
Nixon capitalized on this and made "law and order" a major campaign theme. Note how after he took office, the urban violence tapered off. That's because the rioters know their asses would be shot.
Wish that we had that here. Keep in mind that Cook County Illinois is the heart of American fascism.

History books belittle McCarthy, but Verona et al prove that the Soviets targeted American liberty post war. Their goal was to destroy what makes us Americans - individual liberty and love of God, the Christian God.
Look around you and it is patently obvious that through 'civil rights', government schooling, and big government 'solutions' the Soviet plan largely succeeded.
They lost their geographic empire, but gained an empire of the mind. That socialism is still taken seriously shows you how demented the education of our children truly is.

I knew it was only a matter of time where we move from having innocent public dancing or singing sessions from a flash mob to criminal activity.
It won’t be long before we see coordinated armed assaults in areas, a gang or terrorist group could take over an area before the police mount a response.
Rahm won’t do a thing. He’s part of the political class and he knew that the real problem was gangs. Instead of acting boldly, he crimped and blamed the weather.
The problem is that liberals are beholden to a whole set of ideas that are perpendicular to reality. Our job is to make sure conservatives don’t do that and then capture the hearts and minds of the mushy middle.
There are plenty of conservatives in Chicago. Why doesn’t one of them run for Mayor? The City gets what it deserves.
I remember riots in Miami in the 70s and the National Guard posted on street corners. Not a comforting sight in America.

There was plenty of consequence. Places that rioted the worst haven't ever recovered.
Capital goes where it is wanted and stays where it is well treated, that goes doubly so for the human beings who own the capital.
At least the NG was armed then. After 9/11 the NG was posted at O’Hare with empty magazines in their rifles. Security theater, just like today’s Chicago Cops.
