Thank you for doing this. I think about him all the time. He used to sign his correspondences with Cheers! And I sign all of mine like that in homage to him. So every single time I write an email, I think about my friend Tony. He was one of the great ones.

I miss Tony....I can’t imagine how his family misses him. I got to see him and his band perform in Auburn, WA .... he was a GREAT American and human being.

Tony left such a hole in our lives. So much to miss.

Having had the pleasure of knowing Tony through his visits here at his Alma Mater, Davidson College, and through phone calls and e-mails as we bantered over a range of topics, I still never knew how bad the cancer had gotten until after his passing. As you stated, he always was positive and cheerful. I wish I had known that he was losing his battle so that I could have shared my feelings. But, he didn't want others to be burdened by his problems. I doubt I'll ever meet his match again in my life.

Servant of the Cross, your photo captures the classic Tony smile. He was such a breath of fresh air as Press Secretary.
And he so loved the job. He treated all with respect and provided as much info as security allowed. Dana Perino did a good job of taking over for Tony; he trained her well. But, since the Democrats took the job, it has been greatly diminished.

You are so right. Who can forget that voice. Mark Stein is filling in for Rush today, but I remember when Tony filled in for Rush and his voice was so mesmerizing that you simply had to agree with whatever he said!
