DAVIE— Transgender teen Andrew Viveros, 17, was crowned prom queen on Friday at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale.
Viveros, a graduating senior at McFatter Technical High School in Davie, said he wasn't sure he would win.
"Then they called my name and I was in complete shock," said Viveros, a Davie resident and president of the school's Gay-Straight Alliance.

I suppose it is thanks to the liberalisation of education and the lowering of America’s morals and standards.
In my day this would have never come up. We may have had a few chuckles about the way this kid acted, but no way would he have come out of the closet and run for prom queen.
Today the kids actually voted him in. Pretty soon sex between male and female will be considered perversion.

McFatter is the local short bus alternative government funded fast food training school. I’m not surprised that they were confused as to the normal rules for selecting prom kings and queens.
