I’m thinking we’ll soon see a state’s convention where the federal government is abolished. States will form into different confederacies of politically like-minded states where some will survive and even thrive, while others will sink into chaos and despotism.
My reasoning is simple: two groups of people, one believing in individual rights and liberties, and the other wanting to force slavery on all, cannot and will not live together. History at least teaches us that.
If we don’t amicably separate, there will be war.
I agree with you on this. But my thinking is that the seperate conferacies would have to be on continuous land so the liberty loving people could defend themselves. What would you think?
