One of these former teens will probably win the GOP's White House nomination in 2012. Since the press will inevitably rifle through their histories with astonishing thirst and thoroughness, we may as well take this early campaign moment to glimpse them at their most innocent, ungainly, ambitious, preppy, or long-haired, before the serious digging begins (or, for the better-known candidates, before it begins anew).
The following is a compilation of their high school yearbook photos. We've included nearly every declared, likely, and strongly possible 2012 Republican presidential primary candidate, along with awards and activities listed for their respective senior years. Sarah Palin and Rep. Michele Bachmann, for example, may not have not taken formal steps toward running, but have expressed interest in the presidency, directly and less directly.

Seriously??? Who cares what people looked like in high school? sheesh, yet another reason why I can never run for president - bad 80’s hair cut with a perm on top of curly hair! YIKES!
:) (I’m not complaining that this is posted, I just don’t understand why anyone took the time to write it!)
What I find amazing what their Actitives listings were. I mean can Romney’s and Newt’s be anymore on point.
Palin - cute as all get out
Bachmann - similar to how she looks now, but not as attractive as I would have expected
Santorum - dork
Newt - super dork
Cain - classy
Romney - slick and car salesmanlike
Ron Paul - child molestor
It mystifies me why Jon Huntsman is even mentioned as a possible Republican candidate. Hussein’s choice as his Ambassador to Communist China is a Republican? I don’t believe it.
The photo is just about what I would have imagined, and so is the capsule bio:
“Awards/Activities: Huntsman played the keyboard in a band, dropped out of high school, and later received a G.E.D. Read more about Huntsman’s rock ‘n roll years in this Politico profile.”
You’ve gone way over the line there. Newt is in no way a super Dork. Nerd maybe ...
Somebody needs to tell the Atlantic that apparently no college yearbook pictures of Obama exist - now that’s actually interesting.
(Don’t know about high school pics).
But then, where are Barry’s school pix, other than the gay pic on the couch, or the Doobie Brothers/hat pic? Was he listed as Barry Soetoro, foreign exchange student?
And yet, no one that I know of has found one high school photo of Obama.
How could that possibly be?
The only answer would be, he did not go to high school. At least not in this country.
I stand ready to be corrected.
According to my teenage daughter, Gary Johnson is the only one that scored on the “hotness” scale...

Punahou School 1979
Fred who? LOL
Herman Cain- Most likely to succeed. Hey, sometimes they do get it right. It sounds as though Herman has had “it” his entire life.
Huntsman is worse than Romney.
A rare case, I must say.
Bachmann - similar to how she looks now, but not as attractive as I would have expected
Santorum - dork

Ron Paul - child molestor
That last comment was uncalled for, considering:
Awards/Activities: Lettered in Track, Tumbling award, Wrestling, Student Council president, Service award, National Honor Society
Voted: Best All-Around
Just the only one? I am truly curious. I have four high school yearbook pictures.
Who the hell is Fred Karger?
Here's another ...
The story is, his grandparents paid his through Punahou. His grandfather's boss was an alumnus and got him admitted with a scholarship.
