The ousted ex-president of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya, has arrived back in his home country, greeted by thousands of supporters after being run out of office almost two years ago.
Zelaya's flight from Nicaragua landed at Tegucigalpa's airport Saturday afternoon where thousands of his supporters had been camping out.
Zelaya, who spent much of his exile in the Dominican Republic, is scheduled to meet with Hondura's current President, Porfirio Lobo, and Organization of American States chief Jose Miguel Insulza.
Zelaya was removed from office in June 2009 by the military for ignoring a Supreme Court order to cancel a referendum, which asked citizens if they favoured changing the constitution.
In November that year, a national election put Lobo in the presidential seat. Lobo promised to make amends with Zelaya and to ensure his safe return.

A national plebiscite on reforming fundamental laws. Respect for human rights and the investigation of possible violations. A guarantee that Zelaya supporters can participate in Honduras's political life and in 2014 elections as a political party.
Critics of the former president had claimed Zelaya wanted to hijack the democratic process to enable his re-election, which is prohibited by the constitution. Zelaya has denied that.
And in other news, the thief denies he stole, the robber denies he robbed, and the murderer denies he killed.
I hope Honduran Patriots give this evidoer what he deserves.

They got rid of him then let him come back to get free money from the Global Socialists.
I hope people are starting to see these globalist scum for what they really are. They’re happily supporting the wrong side everywhere in the world.
Just the other day, Canada raised hell over G8 support for the 67 Israeli borders in the resolution to give billions to Egypt.
Fixed it.
Obama Admin Lobbying Honduras To Allow Zelaya Back In? Are You Kidding?
What could possibly be the motive behind this lunacy?
On the last day of December last year, Manuel Mel Zelaya, the deposed Honduran president and self-described victim of high-frequency radiation attacks by Israeli mercenaries, vowed to the press that he would return to Honduras. Few outside of Honduras have paid much attention to Zelayas MacArthur-esque prediction, but it has become apparent there is more behind his declaration than his usual hyperbole and bombastic absurdities.
Behind the scenes in the Obama administration there appears to be a concerted effort to pressure the democratically elected government of President Porfirio Lobo to dismiss charges of misappropriation of government funds and falsifying documents that are pending against Zelaya. This would open the door for his return to the country, and would be certain to undermine the delicate process of reestablishing democracy and order that is currently taking place in this poor and beleaguered nation.
When Zelaya was removed from office in July of 2009, the Obama administration at first joined with leftist dictators Fidel Castro of Cuba, Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, and Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua in calling for his reinstatement. The Obama White House seemed oblivious to the Honduran constitution, as well as the threat Zelaya posed to the stability of the country and the region. When the courageous Honduran people held firm to their democratic constitution and refused to yield to the pressure exerted by the U.S., the Obama administration found no way of saving face other than reversing course and backing the democratic presidential elections called for by their constitution.

US revokes visas to pressure Haiti on election
The Honduran legislature, by a huge majority, disagreed with that. The Honduran supreme court unanimously (IIRC) disagreed with that. Zelaya's actions absolutely disagree with that.
Zelaya is a liar and a traitor to Honduras and 0baMao, Hillary Clinton and the U.S. State Dept. back this lying POS in direct opposition to the rule of law in a representative republic.

BULLSEYE
A Fox News ticker incorrectly called the ouster of Zelaya a “coup” ... twice. Goebbels was right about repeating a lie.
Unfortunately the Great Conservative Hope of Fox News is a myth. They sell a little conservative candy to build their audience but basically follow the MSM template which is to be good little purveyors of leftist propaganda. No one on Fox has ever laid out the real story of what happened in Honduras, who the players were/are and what it all really means politically.
Although I object to the use of the word "coup," which has the connotation of illegal/anti-democratic etc., Krauthammer stated the facts pretty well here.
(What worries me about Krauthammer is that he seems to be for Romney.)
Nor did Fox News make it clear that the U.S. used economic sanctions to try to break their backs and force them to accept a traitor and a thief as their president and now have succeeded in forcing them to allow him to come back and engage in political activism again.
The Krauthammer link I posted above does makes those points, and more. Overall, though, I agree Fox did not focus on this properly.
Obama is uneasy at the idea of the quick romoval of a president who acts uncontitutionally, for some reason :)
0bama hates our form of government and wants socialism/communism to prevail throughout the world.
