Make a ‘rue’, add sweet milk and stir continuously, salt to taste then grind black pepper onto the thickened gravy.

Standard white milk gravy (or as the french say bechamel) with cracked pepper to suit. I make my bechamel 1tbs butter, 1tbs flour, and one cup milk. I might use bacon drippings or sausage drippings and lower the butter content if I have them.
