Someone needs to tell the folks in Albany that if the Tappan Zee goes bye-bye, then the only way for folks from all points West to get to NYC and Long Island would be to go through (and spend money in) NEW JERSEY. Where, by the way, the gas is about 20-40 cents a gallon cheaper.
My co-worker and I were just in FL and were amazed by the “cheap” gas prices down there. We saw $3.59, $3.85, etc, but all in the $3’s.
We were envious. ALL gas prices here on Long Island are over $4. My gas station (who competes with another down the block) just lowered it’s price to $4.15, down from $4.29 in 1 day.
We were joking about how Floridians were probably complaining about their gas prices being so high.
I do believe they are “training” us for such high prices....in everything. Heck, we were excited to see it under 4 bucks.
Something is terribly wrong here and I don’t expect it to get any better.
