Restore the Good in America
Our nation is at a critical turning point. As we look to the future, we are propelled by America's past. It's imperative that we connect with our founders, our patriots, our challenges and victories to clearly see our way forward. A good way to do this is to appreciate the significance of our nation's historic sites, patriotic events and diverse cultures, which we'll do in the coming weeks on our "One Nation" tour. We'll celebrate the good things that bring Americans together; those things that will give us the needed strength to meet the heady challenges ahead. Ive said many times that America doesnt need a "fundamental transformation," instead we need a restoration of all that is good and strong and free in America! So, together lets prepare ourselves for the days ahead by reminding ourselves who we are and what Americans stand for. We'll celebrate the meaning of our nation's blueprints, our Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, which are the threads that weave our past into the fabric necessary for the survival of American exceptionalism. Our founders declared "we were born the heirs of freedom," and despite our difficulties and disagreements, we remain one nation under God in freedom, indivisible. Through visits to historical sites and patriotic events, we'll share the importance of America's foundation. We encourage you to support the pro-America events we'll be privileged to participate in during these coming weeks. Discover the ties that bind Americans, our history, our traditions, and the exceptional nature of our country!

Thank you...I try. :-)
Maybe he can go to the gun shop and say “Can I git me ahuntin’ license” to show us all how down home he is.
Funny, I don’t remember FReepers wrapping their arms around McCain. Most, including me were not happy that he was the nominee, because he is obviously a liberal. I very grudgingly decided I likely had to vote for him to try to stop Obama. The only thing I found in McCain’s entire campaign to support was his choice in Sarah Palin. But then I am just one of those low IQ folks so what do I know?
Yup....that needs to be her signature ad lead in for every ad they run
Jim’s site, Jim’s rules. Yes, Palin is a favorite around here, but you’ll also find threads supporting (and opposing) lots of other candidates. There’s a big Herman Cain contingent, Bachmann, even folks who support some of the more mainstream candidates like T-Paw. I’m sure we’ve even got some Romneybots in the house still, and that’s fine (though they do tend to draw fire if they pop their heads up too much). We’ve even got our Paulestinians, God bless ‘em.
For me, I could support any of several candidates right now...Palin, Cain, Bachmann, others. I’ll wait and see and hear more about their stands on issues. But if the Big Man wants to vocally support Sarah Palin, that’s his prerogative, and we as the readers of FR have the freedom to continue to follow the site or go elsewhere if it bugs us. Me, I’m staying.

Wow, that’s quite a way to go out, eh?

Yeah, what’s with all the JimRob attacks lately? The left must be recruiting new trolls all the time, and they’re all so ignorant about Free Republic that they feel comfortable insulting and questioning the owner?
At least they’re easy to spot and ZOT.
Mitt, flips on so many issues that he’d be a pro in the grill at any burger joint.
I understand your point. I just didn’t know if you’d heard the rest of the sentence that faded off into the applause. I had to listen twice to be certain.

But he DID run with the pro choice George H.W. Bush, who had to have an abortion lobotomy and become pro life as a condition of getting the veep spot.
LOL! Way to go!
He’s a fly under the radar concern troll. Mark my words.
Been out in the good old Texas heat and cooked up some finger licking good BBQ after church. Chicken, beef ribs and pork. Made the potato salad yesterday, fresh corn on the cob and we had a great day. I’ll sleep good tonight on a full tummy.
My daughter read your post and said you’re being mean. LOL!! Hubby just finished fixing the grill. We simply had sandwiches as it’s HOT.
My neighbor and I sat under the shade for over 3 1/2 hours drinking a few beers making the BBQ today. It’s a tough job, but SOMEONE has to do it, and we are always the ones to step up to the plate. I am ready for the bed with a full tummy in an hour or two.
Yeah....you gloat while my tummy growls! ;-)
Here's my ZOT post: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2725798/posts?page=1288#1288
Sorry I forgot to ping you to it.
I can’t understand how people who say they love God can be so ugly to our military, and people who risk their lives to defend their ability to SAY ugly things about the military.
I’m new here, but I had to speak up about this. How on earth can people be so hateful, yet call themselves a Church?
