I don't think she's electable as President.

Why not and whom would you vote for in the "nom?"

Thanks!

I was a little bored so I thought I would play with some of the political youngsters here.

I expecially like the statistics...

I thought I would get called on the numbers totaling over 100%, but no takers. Heh

Calling people who disagree with you on Palin "ignorant and arrogant kooks" kind of makes my point.

This is really a phenomenon that is exclusive to the Palin crowd now. Sure the Romney people really put it to use last go around, but it almost seems as if the Palin lovers here have their own Action Network; when one person says they're skeptical on Palin, a flame patrol promptly arrives to insult and remind people that the Couric interview was unflatteringly edited. It's all very off putting.

I was really gung ho on Fred Thompson shortly after he announced his candidacy; as hopeful as I'd been about a candidate in a long time. But I just can't imagine calling other Freepers names and insulting them over differences in opinion over him. If they had told lies about his record, I would have corrected those. If a fellow Freeper shared a different opinion of Fred Thompson's value as a Presidential candidate, I wouldn't have called them a "Chris Matthews-loving homo", as I have been called on this very site by Palin supporters.

You have subjective opinions about Palin; that's great. It's a free country. But I've seen uncut segments of the Couric interview and many others, and she often sounds clueless. She had multiple chances to make up for these mistakes in my eyes, and she has failed to do so. She had the chance after the loss in 2008 to go back and finish strong as a governor, and study up on the technical details of important issues. She failed on both counts.

I'm not stating any factual inaccuracies. These are my opinions. If you think that when Sarah Palin talks, she sounds like the most intelligent, educated, shrewd policy maker, then good for you. If you think she has the best ideas, then great! Illustrate those. You should work hard to convince other people to vote for her instead of always name calling and blaming the media.

I would say so far, you're failing miserably. Lobbying people to get on the bandwagon is always much more effective than telling them that if you aren't on the bandwagon, they're a homo, or an idiot, or arrogant, or whatever happens to be the insult of the day.

I don't think she's electable because she turns off a majority of independents. This is backed up by my own anecdotal experiences from people I've talked to all over the country, and polling data.

I don't know who I'm supporting at this point, but there's a list of a half dozen people ahead of Palin.

I would add that one of the things I like about Palin is her expertise on energy. Any time someone asks her about the issue, her entire personality and demeanor changes. She isn't as stiff and stuttering, and she can really rattle off facts, figures, and ideas like an Uzi.

I like what she has to say about the those issues. It's night and day from when she opens her mouth about any other subject. That's why I've always said that she would make a great Sec. of Energy.

I think Allen West is going to be riding in Rolling Thunder. Could there be a Palin/West ticket in the making?

You obviously didn't pay attention to the salient points in my post to you. Or choose to ignore them.

Read it again to see what you are doing that is really from out of left field.

I'm not dealing on a plane of people that disagree with me.

I'm dealing with twisted “facts” and obvious dislike of Palin so deep that it has infected the thinking of you and a few others.

Do you know what ignorant means? It's not calling names:

“Lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about something in particular”

And what I called arrogant was arrogant.

Don't be so sensitive, and accuse me of things that I didn't do.

And having my statement kind of making your point is a weak and meaningless thing to say, because preceding that are erroneous statements, probably posted from ignorance.

Again, that is descriptive, not name calling.

You certainly are put off easily, maybe you should just read threads like this, or ignore them altogether.

Now you infer again that I was “calling other Freepers names and insulting them over differences in opinion”

Staw man argument.

Things were misrepresented, I corrected them. Just like you would do GunRunner.

I'm courious to know what your post must have been to be called a Chris Matthews-loving homo. LOL! Now that is name calling.

Obviously you don't understand the necessary and brilliant strategy she employed in resigning from the Governorship of Alaska, and I'm not going to explain it to you.

Your take on it is the same as the leftist media's take, so I don't think you are in a mental position to understand the subtle nuances of her decision in that case.

So to you she failed. Just as the leftist talking points say. Only they know they are lying, but hope people like you accept it as fact.

If you think that when Sarah Palin talks, she sounds like the most intelligent, educated, shrewd policy maker, then good for you

That's a big if, and you won't see anywhere that I am in that camp. Non sequiter GunRunner, no thanks.

She is head and sholders above the others in the limelight at this time though.

You should work hard to convince other people to vote for her instead of always name calling and blaming the media.

Take some time to read my posts. Accusing me of always name calling (an obvious blatant lie) and blaming the media is ludicrous. Blaming the media, gee you don't know their agenda? They hate Palin and conservatives. I put blame where it belongs, but don't get hung up in it as you seem to be. Ignore the media to your peril, they are a nasty hateful branch of the DNC. Yea I just called them names. That fit.

I would say so far, you're failing miserably.

Oh my, you sure are going out on a limb there fella! LOL. You seem to have decided what my purpose is, then believing what you make up, decide I failed. That's pretty strange.

Lobbying people to get on the bandwagon is always much more effective than telling them that if you aren't on the bandwagon, they're a homo, or an idiot, or arrogant, or whatever happens to be the insult of the day.

Gee thanks for the sage advice. I'll stop calling people homos and idiots (gee I've never done that, thanks for putting that on me), stop pointing out arrogance.

I'm not familiar with the rest of the "insults of the day", but keep them to yourself ok?

I don't deal in that kind of stuff.

You seem to get a lot of people calling you horrible names.

I don't see that so much.

We must travel in different circles.

Well I see you posted to me again! Let's see here...

So you have a 1/2 dozen potential candidates ahead of Palin? Lets see...Romney, Gingrich, Pawlenty, Christie, Huckabee (he dropped out, sorry), Daniels, Bachmann...all ahead of Palin huh?

I would add that one of the things I like about Palin is her expertise on energy. Any time someone asks her about the issue, her entire personality and demeanor changes. She isn't as stiff and stuttering, and she can really rattle off facts, figures, and ideas like an Uzi.

Concern troll talk.

It's night and day from when she opens her mouth about any other subject.

So except when she is talking about energy, she is bumbling stiff and stuttering mess? That is exactly what you are saying, how absurd.

I have seen her speak at least 3 times in person. She was very well versed in many different subjects, and spoke at length with out being how you describe her one bit.

And thousands of people got her message and loved it.

One person yelled and screamed at her as she was going from the stage to a bus, so yes some people believe as you do.

I've seen her on TV many times recently and she doesn't fit your description when in that venue either.

She sure has an irritating screechy voice doesn't she? There, I threw you a little nugget.

I read all the salient points from you, and many others since her name began being tossed about. I know you'd like to think that you are privy to some secret information that I don't access to, but you're not. I simply don't share your opinion of her or the situation.

There's no twisting of the facts here, and if you think I'm "lacking knowledge or information" about Sarah Palin that is preventing me from being enamored with her like you are, please share. I've heard absolutely nothing from you that I haven't heard elsewhere.

Offering an opinion on a political website about a certain political candidate is not "arrogant".

And having my statement kind of making your point is a weak and meaningless thing to say, because preceding that are erroneous statements, probably posted from ignorance.

Like I said, I've followed Palin's career closely, and there's no bit of information you seem to have that I don't, so it all boils down to a matter of opinion.

I don't need you to explain to me why she resigned. I heard the move defended hundreds of times by Palin supporters on FR and many other places. I don't buy the arguments, plain and simple.

So to you she failed. Just as the leftist talking points say.

No, she failed because that is what I required of her to consider supporting her as a candidate. I'm sure you have different standards.

I have read your posts and and those of many, many other Palin supporters. I'm not accusing you of the same type of name calling that I've seen from the worst of the Palin lot, but I stand by the fact that calling someone an "arrogant, ignorant kook" because they don't share your opinion of Palin classifies as name calling.

I DON'T see a lot of people calling me horrible names. As I explained earlier, it's something that ONLY happens when I questions Palin's credentials as a candidate. I thought the time a Palin clown called me a homo was a great example, but the moderators rightly erased it, so you'll have to take my word for it. If you don't, I really don't care.

So you have a 1/2 dozen potential candidates ahead of Palin? Lets see...Romney, Gingrich, Pawlenty, Christie, Huckabee (he dropped out, sorry), Daniels, Bachmann...all ahead of Palin huh?

I didn't mention Huckabee or Michelle Bachmann, both of whom I would consider unelectable (in the case of Bachmann, MORE unelectable that Palin), and I specifically said that Gingrich is unelectable. Maybe you need to read my list again, because it doesn't seem like you read it.

So except when she is talking about energy, she is bumbling stiff and stuttering mess?

Yes, pretty much. I can appreciate that you see something totally different when you hear her speak. I'm not lambasting or calling into question what you see in her. I'm saying that I don't share it, and I'm sorry that it seems to irk you so much.

Yes, the voice is grating in a Fargoish way, but she's certainly not the worst. I think Michelle Bachmann makes Sarah Palin sound like William F. Buckley.

Yes, I can believe you continue to twist my words.

I know you'd like to think that you are privy to some secret information that I don't access to, but you're not

Laughable, my point is and was that you spin from a MSM talking points position.

I never made a point that I have 'secret info' but it's a fact that I have information you will never have. Live with it, I've talked to her privitely.

I'm "lacking knowledge or information" about Sarah Palin that is preventing me from being enamored with her

If you want to be enamored with someone, see B.H. Obama.

You are so off track, and signs of real cultish bahaviour in your posts.

I don't need you to explain to me why she resigned.... I don't buy the arguments.

More ignorance. Don't whine to me that I just called you a name ok?

I didn't offer to explain it to you, you made up your mind just like Chris Matthews, Olbermann, Maddow, et al have.

No, she failed because that is what I required of her

Oh man, you do sound like Chris Matthews. Maybe you weren't called a name in that instance, just a poster posting a fact

I stand by the fact that calling someone an "arrogant, ignorant kook" because they don't share your opinion of Palin classifies as name calling.

I'm sure you will never get free from thinking that, you are so thin skinned. If you are arrogant, I will say so. If you are ignorant, I will say so. If you post Kooky stuff, I will say so.

Get over your self, it's not all about you.

Oh and you didn't mention anyone it the post I saw. You just said you were enamored over and worshiped 6.

And made the point NONE of them were Palin. She's pretty scary, ain't she?

I can appreciate that you see something totally different when you hear her speak.

Me and almost all people that hear her speak.

Your group is pretty small, pissant, you, Evening Star and a few others here at FR.

I think Michelle Bachmann makes Sarah Palin sound like William F. Buckley.

Finally a compliment for Sarah Palin!

Yes, her intellect does match Buckley's much more than Bachmann's. I love Bachmann though.

About the Matthews thing, I'm sure you have whined to the mods a lot of times when some one calls you on your biased, MSM talking points, posts.

Keep pinging this thread, it's a good one!

And no, I don't believe that matthews homo post to you.

Your character shows that you could be making that up.

Oh and btw, I never get irked. LOL, you can be irked if you wanna, but me not so much. I just dispute and debate when someone is wrong.
