I'm dealing with twisted “facts” and obvious dislike of Palin so deep that it has infected the thinking of you and a few others.

I would add that one of the things I like about Palin is her expertise on energy. Any time someone asks her about the issue, her entire personality and demeanor changes. She isn't as stiff and stuttering, and she can really rattle off facts, figures, and ideas like an Uzi.

I have seen her speak at least 3 times in person. She was very well versed in many different subjects, and spoke at length with out being how you describe her one bit.
And thousands of people got her message and loved it.
One person yelled and screamed at her as she was going from the stage to a bus, so yes some people believe as you do.
I've seen her on TV many times recently and she doesn't fit your description when in that venue either.

Like I said, I've followed Palin's career closely, and there's no bit of information you seem to have that I don't, so it all boils down to a matter of opinion.

I'm not accusing you of the same type of name calling that I've seen from the worst of the Palin lot, but I stand by the fact that calling someone an "arrogant, ignorant kook" because they don't share your opinion of Palin classifies as name calling.

I didn't mention Huckabee or Michelle Bachmann, both of whom I would consider unelectable (in the case of Bachmann, MORE unelectable that Palin), and I specifically said that Gingrich is unelectable. Maybe you need to read my list again, because it doesn't seem like you read it.

Yes, pretty much. I can appreciate that you see something totally different when you hear her speak. I'm not lambasting or calling into question what you see in her. I'm saying that I don't share it, and I'm sorry that it seems to irk you so much.
Yes, the voice is grating in a Fargoish way, but she's certainly not the worst. I think Michelle Bachmann makes Sarah Palin sound like William F. Buckley.
