“Conversations about race” is such a farce.
It’s really a one-way discussion of how bad whitey is.
A real “conversation about race” would include
“why, with all the provisions in the law, the special set asides and privileges bestowed upon minorities, are they still resentful of whites? Why is the crime rate so way out of proportion?”

Indeed. It is always a monologue lecture that the white race is the devil and all other groups are oppressed saints.

standing in line at a city bureau, I said hello to a little African American child in line with an African American adult male who I assumed to be the child’s father. The child just looked back at me.
The father said, “He has to deal with Caucasions at school.” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As if that explained anything.
Wow. I felt the hatred.

how about a conversation about math, science, english, spelling, biology, astronomy, languages...
school is for knowledge, not this PC crap. De-fund the fed dept of ED now!.

"Linguist Dr. John McWhorter, who has taught at Cornell and Berkeley, notes that "conversation about race" actually means a one-sided lecture. McWhorter, who is black, says that the phrase "conversation about race ... means that black people have something to teach white people if white people would just sit and listen." That is exactly the sense in which kindergarteners at this Minnesota school have a conversation about race. "
I'm not sure I can respond to that without...

A one-way conversation is called a “lecture”

If I were he, I would have insisted my child reply respectfully to the adult who had just spoken to him/her. Instead, that “father” was reinforcing hatred for whites in the child’s mind.

We’re all basically mutts anyway, within a few generations that vast majority of Americans will be mixed-race anyways, so the point will become moot.

I’m just completing the book “Liberal Fascism”. It should be required reading.
All of this makes perfect sense when you understand the history.

This is Minnesota. Theirs was the first state in the US to pass a civil rights law ~ to protect the Norwegians from the Swedes.
Sounds like nothing has changed.

"Conversation about race" has always meant minorities griping about their own failures and perceived injustices.Yes.

In hindsight, I would have used the word lecture in my description.
“Sit there, whitey, while I tell you how bad you are, and nothing should come out of your mouth except obsequious apologies.”

Okay. So you say. This is normal.
Define 'normal' please. Child harassment just feels good so it's a great anger release against defenseless white children. Is that your normal?

If somebody said “normal” go find them. I didn’t say “normal” in regard to anything in Minnesota.

Point taken. Jesse Ventura is an excellent example. If I had an attitude it was the bs article, not attempting to be asinine towards you.

They cant force people to accept other races. You either do it or you dont.
No amount of teaching can make you not be a bigot.

I am proud of my white heritage, but I am not a goofball Kluxer or skinhead.
They can be proud of their race as well, just dont preach that white people are devils or that will just cause more division.
Or maybe that is what these people wanted all along. If people got along without worrying about race, they would be forced to get a real job instead of mooching off the taxpayers.
