Facebook Founder Zuckerberg Pledges to Only Eat What He Kills

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has publicly announced his new challenge for 2011 -- only eating meat that he has slaughtered with his own bare hands, news.com.au reported Friday.
"I just killed a pig and a goat," he wrote on his private Facebook page earlier this month.
Zuckerberg sets a single new goal for himself every year.

I think eating ONLY what you kill is unneccessary.
People who say they could NEVER kill a chicken/bull then eat them seem weird to me though.
If you do it ONCE it would prove to me that you’re straight-minded.

“This year, my personal challenge is around being thankful for the food I have to eat,” Zuckerberg said. “I think many people forget that a living being has to die for you to eat meat, so my goal revolves around not letting myself forget that and being thankful for what I have.”
Actually, I think this a laudable goal- as long as that’s his real motivation.

Actually, I think this a laudable goal- as long as that’s his real motivation.Indeed. Most meat eaters have never eaten something they have killed. It's probably part of why we Americans waste so much food.

Reminds me of an old “Airwolf” episode I just watched (a freeper brought it up....).
The gal wouldn’t eat the trout he just caught because it was “so beautiful”.
“How about flounder? Now that’s an ugly fish - two eyes on one side - do you like flounder?”

He already looks kinda skinny to me. What’s he going to look like a year from now?That depends. If he goes from eating fast food to self-slaughtered meat he could lose or he could gain. I know if I had an entire pig to eat I probably would.
