Not so. At least historically, right wingers are just as authoritarian as commies, though sometimes on different issues. And credit does go to some specific conservatives for distinguishing between applying those powers to bad guys vs. doing so to everyone. But cons haven't draped themselves in glory on maintaining proper citizen-state balance either.
You are right if you are referring to a stand Republican, but we want the kind of President who remembers what America stands for and has the original Constitution as their standard. The term “extreme right wing” would probably fall under that category as far as the media was concerned. At least that is my interpretation. Of course, the media loves to call the “Hitler regime” right wing so maybe I’m wrong. We definitely need leadership to bring us back to our Constitution.
