To: Still Thinking

You are right if you are referring to a stand Republican, but we want the kind of President who remembers what America stands for and has the original Constitution as their standard. The term “extreme right wing” would probably fall under that category as far as the media was concerned. At least that is my interpretation. Of course, the media loves to call the “Hitler regime” right wing so maybe I’m wrong. We definitely need leadership to bring us back to our Constitution.

And I do think authoritarianism is more closely associated with the left than the right over say the last couple decades or so. You’ll see Republicans mouthing libertarian truths, usually without a scrap of belief. Ruth Buzzy Ginsburg was the only vote in favor of the Constitution the other day, go figure. I tend to expect Scalia to have a mental break once in a while and go statist-authoritarian, but Thomas? That I never expect.
