This is video of the SWAT raid on Jose Guerena.
I will judge by that fact, as far as this video goes.
That was brutal.
Gutless wonders. I’m amazed that this hasn’t become a cause celebe for hispanics. This is disgusting. Looks like we’re moved to Iraq.
When it happens to US citizens?
Crickets.
Only one lawful answer to this -- unfortunately, it won't be sufficient redress.
That was cold-blooded murder.
And a female officer with them? How much do you want they went back and had an orgy with her to celebrate their manliness in murdering a helpless citizen?
Nazi Vermin.
I am now officially AGAINST the drug wars: until they start doing this to C-level corporate executives, politicians, and lawyers alike, who are casual users.
If only cops had IQs over the low 30s' -- but then they wouldn't be cops.
Disgusting. That video makes me want to puke.
Was the driver wearing a do-rag? What was the material dropping from the inside on the back of his helmet?
Why was the swat team called to the Marine’s residence. What had he done?
They cut the video right before the SWAT team gets together for high-fives and a smoke.
During the following hour the wife pleads for medical attention for her husband while the former Marine bleeds out in his hallway. And, the SWAT team turns away the EMTs.
...is that not “the rest of the story” as it’s well documented?
They had a search warrant.
Their excuse given is that anytime they are serving a search warrant to a residence that is known to have firearms, they use the SWAT team to secure the location and then execute the warrant.
Sure this wasn’t Dayton Ohio...
Also, I bet the last shot was a nice coup de grace.
A life flight helicopter was on standby for the operation, but only for union cops who are contractually referred to as officers.

What I saw was a few seconds of siren that could have been construed as a car alarm and a pack of insecure wannabe swat jerks who only gave the homeowner a few seconds to respond to a knock on the door before they kicked it in and murdered the marine for standing in the hallway with his home defense weapon. Also, the marine was likely down after the first shot, meaning they were firing into his body on the floor. What did you guys see?
There are some real idiots on this thread. The video clearly shows the officers going to the scene, with “SHERIFF” plainly visible on both the vehicles and their uniforms, they use a SIREN for about 8 seconds, they IDENTIFY themselves, they wait after identifying themselves before making entry, and this is in BROAD daylight.
Only when confronted with an armed suspect with a rifle do they open fire.
I am amazed by the idiocy here. The video contradicts everything the internet rambo blowhards have been saying. (No siren, no identification, no announcement, ect...) Now you guys want to flip the script again?
Do you people know that this wasn’t even a drug warrant? The “marine” was a suspect in ARMED HOME INVASIONS. Does the fact that he was an ex “marine” (and I put the term in quotes because a real marine wouldn’t have been involved in gangs and home invasions) mean that he is now untouchable? That any criminal act he does is permissible?
How many of the SWAT officers in the video do you think were former military? In my experience, most SWAT teams are virtually entire former military. So what makes them different than the druggie home invading “marine” in your eyes.
Oh, wait... I think I know the answer to that. Once they put on the badge they are just a faceless cog in the big evil machine of Gub’mint, and just as expendable, right?
I guess facts don’t matter to the tin foil hat wearing government haters who eat their own BS so they can feel better about their personal interpretations of the constitution.
Exactly. A SUSPECT. At any rate the swat team should all be executed themselves for murder. I guess it really is guilty until proven innocent, and that being a Marine counts for absolutely nothing these days.
So what are they supposed to do with a dangerous armed individual who is suspected of committed armed home invasions? Call him up on the phone and ask him to come on down to the station?
Really? Wouldn’t most criminals simply flee the jurisdiction if that was the option?
The police had a valid warrant (you know, that thing the 4th Amendment requires). They identified themselves, used a siren, announced their presence and the fact that they had a warrant (you know, all the things that they are supposed to do.) They were met with a guy holding a rifle. It that situation, you use deadly force.
PERIOD.
There isn’t a doubt in my mind that the morons on the internet who are so quick to condemn the police in this case, would demand the right to shoot if someone pointed a rifle at them.
But hey, I don’t have the tin foil hat on, so perhaps the evvviiiiillllll gubmit rays are making me say all this.
Stop licking boots. Just arrest the guy coming out of the mine he worked at... unless people mine with rifles now?
