PIEDMONT, Okla. -- During a press conference, Hank Hamil, Ryan's father announced the search and rescue teams found his son on the shore of Falcon Lake near the family's home.

Searchers had been looking for the missing 3-year-old boy since Tuesday after a violent storm struck his home in a subdivision in Piedmont.

His pregnant mother, Catherine, and siblings, Cathleen, 5, and 15-month-old Cole, were injured.
Ryan's brother, Cole, died at the hospital Wednesday.
Mother Catherine is in fair condition and daughter Cathleen remains in critical condition.
Catherine is five months pregnant, her unborn child is expected to be fine.
Hank Hamil, their father, was out of town during the tornado but has returned to help search for his son, Ryan.

My first thought is that if I knew I had enough time to get there, and it was indeed an F5, I would seek out the nearest supermarket, since their walk-in freezers are usually able to withstand the winds better than anything else. That's what saved the people in Joplin that made the YouTube video.
Me too. My heart just sank, I felt like I was going to throw up and then the tears flowed. Listening to the Father, I just don't know how he was able to make it through the announcement. My heart and prayers truly go out to this man. I have two sons, I cannot imagine the grief he must be suffering.
This poor family. I can’t even imagine the grief and pain that they are experiencing.
I saw the same piece you did. He seemed like a bright, fun, engaging young man with his life in front of him. I doubt he will be found alive, but I hope they find his body. How sad.
I hear the Westboro freaks are going to picket in Joplin on Sunday.
