As a Texan I find it hard to believe we did not call the feds bluff. Guess we need to elect Senators with a real spine, like Dan Patrick.

There's been too much immigration from California and New York.
I think we should have a “Natural Born Citizen” law for holding office in the Texas government so we don't get foreign liberals polluting things.

That may not do the trick, but it's a start!

The bluff was just political cover for something they would have done anyway - anyone with a particle of common sense could see that Texas could just delay delivery product from it’s refineries & ports to send America to a screeching halt in about 3.2 seconds.

The crowds need to number in the 10s of thousands for any of these idiots to worry about.

Guess we need to elect Senators with a real spine, like Dan Patrick.

That and stop electing spineless people like David Dewhurst.

This and the failure of the sanctuary city bill can be laid directly at the feet of Dewhurst.

He has finally shown his true colors this legislative session.

This Dan Patrick?

"The bill by Sen. Dan Patrick, a Houston Republican, would let lawmakers carry their concealed handguns into bars, churches, sporting events and businesses."

From: http://www.star-telegram.com/2011/05/09/3061548/senate-oks-bill-letting-texas.html

Guess he's better than us mere citizens.
