The environmental movement is a political movement based on fraud and not science.

According to Paul Driessen (author of
Eco-Imperialism) on the G. Gordon Liddy show 12/1/09, hour 2: The US Big Government has funded $90 billion in GW research over the previous 20 years promoting climate crisis science. If you are funded by government money you are subject to FOIA disclosure. It's simple. If you want to keep your "scientific" methodology and data secret then don't accept government money.

In large part, true. And that's the danger of allowing the environmental movement to slow down science they don't like (e.g., genetically modified foods) by use of frivolous FOI requests.

Hilarious. They shouldn’t be held accountable for what they foist off on others as scientific fact.

Sounds like a typical liberal, who believes that government works best when the people are kept ignorant and dumb. To whom are you referring?
But yeah, that's just what it sounds like...
Nurse said that, in principle, scientific information should be made available as widely as possible as a matter of course, a practice common in biological research where gene sequences are routinely published in public databases.
and
"Part of retaining the public's confidence and trust is transparency and openness, and scientists should accept that that is part of the price of having the people's trust." (Tom Ward? Bob Ward?)

Scientific Method
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_Method
From the article -
“Scientific inquiry is generally intended to be as objective as possible, to reduce biased interpretations of results. Another basic expectation is to document, archive and share all data and methodology so they are available for careful scrutiny by other scientists, giving them the opportunity to verify results by attempting to reproduce them. This practice, called full disclosure, also allows statistical measures of the reliability of these data to be established.”

Okay what part of this phrase confuses you....
“Freedom of information laws are being misused to harass scientists and should be re-examined by the government, according to the president of the Royal Society.”
They DO NOT WANT US (we the people) to have access to the facts because then they can’t push their fraud movement. That is why they are trying to hide it.
To: yldstrk
Evidently you didn't read the article. They aren't complaining about the release of information in general...they are complaining about the burden it puts on them, and the way no confidential discussions are possible.
Having operated under such conditions as a scientist, I can confirm that it's not a very productive way of doing science openly. And out of context, even the most innocent correspondence can appear sinister.
But it sure is a good way to muck things up!

They don't want harassment. That doesn't mean they don't want people to have access.
BTW, these are UK laws.

You can tell who the Climate Alarmists revere, study, and follow:
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.

It doesn't mean all of the correspondence between collaborators!
The methodology and data are provided, so it can be repeated. The process of getting to the final methodology is not part of it.

Public statements for transparency, and actually carrying them out, are two different things.
And, I was referring to liberals and all democrats, who actually to believe that, without the public’s attention, they could retain power forever. And, I was also referring to people like you, who can’t tell the difference between public utterances by people in power, and what they actually do.

LOL... What are you a lawyer now??? OH I get it you have to hear the “ACTUAL WORDS”!!
Yeah... yeah that’s the ticket!
Kind of like “Trick” the data does not mean “manipulate” it in order to get your B.S. funds right?????
PLEASE TAKE YOUR B.S. some where else!
