The inside the beltway GOP wants a gutless Socialist like Mitt Romney to be their Main candidate. It’s almost like voting for a Bill Clinton as the Republican choice. It’s horrible!

Consider this, if the ticket v Mister Obama is split (e.g. GOPer and say Trump), then...

Then...America goes more "left of center" as you say, than Venenzuela, and there's no coming back from that.
A split ticket is what Obama (and his under-the-table pals like Trump) are planning for good, caring (but not sufficiently suspicious) folks, just like you.
