...Obama wins easily.
Then...America goes more "left of center" as you say, than Venenzuela, and there's no coming back from that.
A split ticket is what Obama (and his under-the-table pals like Trump) are planning for good, caring (but not sufficiently suspicious) folks, just like you.

You will still lose? Don’t you get it? If the Republican party puts another left of center candidate, then it’s already over. Sorry but if Romney gets the nomination, then not only will it be over the for the Republican party. It will be over for our Republic too.
You can rest assure the Republican Party will cut it’s own throat if they put in another candidate that will throw it for Obama.
