They should offer up the bill again without medicare reform and this time let the public know that wwhen it does go bust the republicans at least tried to save whereas you now have nothing thanks to the democrats.
They should lop another 10% off the Ryan budget and pass it again...
The end is very clear.
I admire Ryan for trying, he's very honorable and very brave, but the looters are going to win in the end.
Until the end.
Democrats - the Party of No. The Do Nothing Party.
“They should offer up the bill again without medicare reform...”
Maybe, but not sure that would be doing the right thing. In 10 years social security, medicare and the interest on the debt will consume the entire Federal budget. 10 years seems like a long time, but in terms of being able to reform the system and leave time for everyone adjust to it, it would seem that the hour is growing late.
I think we should get Paul Ryan out there, have him explain his plan and then provide a lovely contrast between his plan and what the Democrats had in mind to do to seniors with ObamaCare. You know they ripped the program off to the tune of $500B, as if it weren’t already broke, and planned to ration care and let nature take its course to reduce the amount of potential recipients and the length of time benefits are paid for each. The general public wouldn’t necessarily know what they were getting until they get there - and someone should tell them.
And of course for Rand Paul and his Dad, it isn’t enough.
After all this and four years of more insanity. Ron Paul is the only one that seems coherent to me.
Murkowski is a jackass and Rand Paul follows in his Father's footsteps.
Secondly, some people will invest their money in such a way as to generate wealth; others will spend their money in ways which destroy wealth. The more wealth is in the hands of people who will use it to generate more wealth, the more wealth will be created. Taxing such people will effectively destroy wealth.
Thirdly, any dollar of wealth which is borrowed by the government is a dollar of wealth which is unavailable for private investment. Generally, private investment generates wealth. In many cases, government borrowing is used to fund programs whose only function is to generate further demand.
People need to wake up to the fact that institutionalized covetousness is not virtuous. I wish Christians who might be inclined to vote Democrat could be made to realize that the whole leftist platform is based upon violation of the Tenth Commandment.
