MSNBC has suspended Ed Schultz for one week without pay for calling Laura Ingraham a ‘right-wing slut’ on his radio program Tuesday.
“Remarks of this nature are unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” MSNBC said in a statement Wednesday evening.
Schultz will address the remarks on his television show Wednesday night, and begin his leave immediately afterward, MSNBC said.
The Daily Caller first noted the epithet in the midst of Schultz's critique of Ingraham’s criticisms of the president’s trip to Ireland.
“And what do the Republicans thinking about?” Schultz said. “They’re not thinking about their next-door neighbor. They’re just thinking about how much this is going to cost. President Obama is going to be visiting Joplin, Mo., on Sunday but you know what they’re talking about, like this right-wing slut, what’s her name?, Laura Ingraham? Yeah, she’s a talk slut. You see, she was, back in the day, praising President Reagan when he was drinking a beer overseas. But now that Obama’s doing it, they’re working him over.”

Then you have the majority of Americans receiving welfare from the US government to one degree or another and they vote for the left because so far... the leftards are giving them other people's money. You are right about the republican/dim thing... but we as a Nation are almost equally divided... and half want us to become some socialist nirvana where everyone gets what they need and no one does without and bills are never made or paid because everything is given to us by the government... of course nothing like that could ever exist... the laws of economics, physics and nature make it impossible. What they will get if we do not defeat them... is a soviet styled central command dictatorship and an end to the American Dream.

How many anchors does MSNBC have left? At the rate they are going through them, the network will be off the air or changing formats well before the 2012 election

The media not only has major control over us but profits in the process. Their gig is to keep us divided as a nation so that they profit by increasing political advertising. The more divided they make us the more advertising $$$ they make. Our country needs united but instead there are interests that profit enormously by dividing us. Americans are too busy to see that.

Ain’t controlling me. With less eyes on their ads, the less they can charge for them. Right leaning Americans really need to wake up to this, and they could really make a huge difference in the propaganda war. Even if just 80% all conservatives pulled their cable plug, it would be a huge factor on ad revenue. I believe this has been the slow trend in the past decade, but it’s been much too slow. I have convinced many of my like minded peers to cut their cable and save the $$. I can’t think of how to get a national campaign going that would hasten the death of the Media, but it seems to be one way to wrestle back control of our information and political sanity. The left will never surrender their Idol or 24 or whatever Hollywood is pushing this week; the right, perhaps not wishing to surrender their sports and news channels - but these are quite serious times requiring serious action. How is it, I must wonder, that this is not the prevailing view of the right?
