Someone alert Glenn Beck. Last year NPR announced that it was accepting $1.8 million from the Open Society Foundations, which you likely know is funded by George Soros. The money is being used to fund a local-national initiative, known as the Impact on Government project. According to NPR the plan is to have two public radio reporters in every state keeping tabs on state government issues. So far, so good? Not really. The NPR newsroom was apparently less than thrilled that NPR had accepted Soros money.

Yeah right. They employ Terry Gross.
Concerned, my ever expanding, luminous when bare azzzzzzzzzzz....
They were “concerned” the bribe was too small...a bunch of effing phony libs.
Okay then. They are concerned.
Conversation over.
Soros has given tons of money to more than 30 news outlets including NBC, CBS, ABC, CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, NPR and so on.
And since these entities are suffering some of the worst ratings in their histories, is Soros just throwing his money away.
Also, would these so called donations be considered more of bribes than donations.
They should be deeply concerned about the rise of the new media. Sites like Michigan Capitol Confidential strike fear in the hearts of democrats, unions, and universities here in Michigan. All they do is simple straightforward investigative reporting without bias and the left panics.
The NPR Newsroom’s deep concern is probably akin to the UN Security Council issuing a strongly worded resolution... I-O-W: rather meaningless.
We’re deeply concerned but keep those paychecks coming

Juan Williams Wins Freedom of Speech Award
Fox News Channel political analyst Juan Williams is the 2011 winner of the Freedom of Speech Award bestowed annually by Talkers magazine.
Williams was fired as NPRs senior news correspondent in October over comments he made that were judged offensive to Muslims. He said that he was often nervous when boarding a plane with people dressed in “Muslim garb.”
He was quickly hired as a Fox News correspondent.
Williams high profile termination from NPR to landing a new deal at Fox stirred up productive debate and discussion of the roles free speech, bias, partisanship, ethics and hypocrisy play in the news media, according to Talkers, the bible of the talk media world.
Williams will receive the Freedom of Speech Award at Talkers New Media Seminar in New York City on June 11.
In an exclusive interview with Talkers, Williams said: When this situation with NPR first came up, I was so afraid because they have the big megaphone, obviously, they are a broadcaster. And they also have a fabulous brand thats widely respected.
I thought, These people are attacking me, they have just fired me. Subsequently there were suggestions that I was a bigot, that I needed psychiatric care, and all the rest.
I was so fearful that . . . I would be maligned and marginalized by this effort and my career would be ruined.
In the midst of this, Roger Ailes, who runs Fox, said to me, The conservatives will defend you because they dont like being called bigots, either.

They look at this as ammo for conservatives to make the case that really are biased and a shill for liberals, which they are
“The NPR Newsrooms deep concern is probably akin to the UN Security Council issuing a strongly worded resolution... I-O-W: rather meaningless.”
Sir, I’ll have you know a strongly worded resolution from the UN Security Council and NPR’s ‘Deep Concern’ carries the same severity and gravitas as a letter of censure does on a Democratic member of Congress who broke just about every tax law he was supposed to oversee and uphold...wait...I mean...um...never mind...
Right. As long as they aren’t “deeply concerned” nothing will come of it.
