For this kind of hype, I’m not going to be impressed with anything less than 100 mpg.

Then the EPA can cause electricity to sky rocket so we can get nailed in the wallet when we plug one of these suckers in the wall...

Are these idiots going to stop the electrical plant expansion that’s needed to fuel a nation with electric cars?? Maybe the wind will take care of it?

I wish these people would just go away!

It probably has to do with Tesla’s announcement that they are starting production on their latest model. I saw a reference to the production startup in another article.

U.S. EPA to Discuss Major Fuel Efficiency Announcement at Tesla HQ...

Why do I suspect I'm about to help subsidize another struggling business model?

It will be hard for Tesla to have any mpg rating if I understand their vehicles correctly.

No doubt Tesla Corp paid a large bribe contribution to the DNC and/or the obama Campaign...

Follow the money....

I'm sure that Tesla (or some "individual" or "501" non-profit front group) donates HEAVILY to Democrats, and they get the taxpayer funds funneled to them to subsidize their un-economic, un-wanted, non-competitive product.

Subsidies to "green projects" and "alternative energy" ALWAYS are un-economic, un-reliable, un-wanted, etc., but can only fill the pockets of major donors via MANDATED/FORCED taxpayer funds that are sent to them (sorta along the lines of Obama Motors, etc.)

Read the net income line.

Perhaps a bunch of people believe the subsidy was coming.

I wish these people would just go away!

These people (Greens) exist to control others. They have no other purpose. Like the Terminator, they will not stop until they are dead.

We cannot wish them away. We must defeat their champions at every election and at every level. They live to get their agenda enacted. They’re willing to “reach across the aisle” and compromise because once they get the framework in place a bevy of bureaucrats will ratchet up their regulations until the entire agenda and even more than they ever thought possible will be in place. Once it’s in place, it’s really, really hard to get rid of. (Healthcare, for example.)

Unlike the rest of us, who have lives and families, a Green’s agenda is his/her/its life. Too bad so many of them are RICH.

So, how many miles per pound of coal does this new-fangled electric car get?

Well obviously I didn’t realize that it was ELECTRIC fuel economy. In that case I’m not going to be impressed with less than a 500 mile range on a full charge, and less than 2 minutes to charge the battery.
