I couldn’t get my self to read the article because it starts with the presupposition that nobama wants to “create jobs”. Isn’t that naive?

It took this to be tongue in cheek naive. Kind of like Surely your not doing this on purpose, so the only explanation is that you don't know what to do.

I’ve spent over a year applying for every conceivable job at every level. I live in the DC metro area which is purportedly not badly affected by the recession and has a relatively low rate of unemployment. I’ve networked, taken courses, had my resumé professionally prepared, used every conceivable resource. But I have had only a few contacts after many, many applications, and the potential employers promptly lost interest when they found out that I’m a few years over 50. Have been applying for jobs further and further down the totem pole, but even when applying for cleaning jobs, I was told my SPanish isn’t good enough.

Now I’m going to apply at Home Depot because they hire old people over 50, and I know a good bit about how to fix up a house or yard and use tools; I’d enjoy telling other women how to do repairs and home renovations. It’s only $13 an hour and that won’t pay the mortgage, but it’s something. Please pray for me, folks, that God will show me what on earth He has in mind for me.

Maybe the President will drop county zoning “laws” against new, small manufacturing starts. Maybe he’ll force the local yocal established corporations to embrace new, domestic competition.

Our nation has a lot of problems, folks, and nothing in contemporary politics will solve them. The only way is a trend toward personal self-sufficiency and a popular, personal refusal to spend money.

Enjoy the slide. ;-)
