Democrats join Republicans in questioning Obama’s policy on Israel

Top Democrats have joined a number of Republicans in challenging President Obama’s policy toward Israel, further exposing rifts that the White House and its allies will seek to mend before next year’s election.

The differences, on display as senior lawmakers addressed a pro-Israel group late Monday and Tuesday, stem from Obama’s calls in recent days for any peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians to be based on boundaries that existed before the 1967 Arab-Israeli war, combined with “mutually agreed swaps” of territory.

Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (Nev.), House Minority Whip Steny H. Hoyer (Md.) and other Democrats appeared to reject the president’s reference to the 1967 lines in his latest attempt to nudge along peace talks, thinking that he was giving away too much, too soon.

White House officials say Obama’s assertion did not reflect a shift in U.S. policy. But the president’s comments touched a nerve among pro-Israel activists, drew a rare Oval Office rebuke from Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and instantly became a litmus test in domestic American politics.

Now Obama — whom critics often accuse of employing a play-it-safe governing style in which he waits for others to take the lead — is largely isolated politically in raising the issue of boundaries.

“Obama isolated” - what a nice thought. Everyone just needs to ignore him.

What makes us think the democrats in the legislature want another four years of dictatorship and water bucket hauling?

Hussein showed his true allegiance with our terrorist enemies and now the DNC wants to act like it never happened. No way. Hussein’s disdain for Jews and Christians will be remembered by millions come November 2012. History will reflect the treason taking place in DC by this Regime and many in Congress.

I love how Bibi comes in town and the night of his speech to Congress, Bammy conveniently leaves town.

I’m thrilled that Bibi didn’t have to look at the Puke in Chief who embarrasses the USA. Hussein is America’s greatest mistake and embarrassment.

Pray that America corrects this error in November 2012 or he’s impeached before then.

I agree that there are a small handful of centrist Liberals that feel that way but the large majority of the Democrats in Congress are pure Marxist socialist ideologues that still see Obama as their last best hope at pushing their hard left agenda.

If anything they are dismayed because they realize that Obama got caught speaking one of their truths, and when progressives tell the truth America roundly rejects them.

This is exactly why it is more important than ever for this election to involve a Conservative that can teach the American public the difference between the Marxist and the Conservative.

Like the Jewish people, history may not give us another chance either.

While the media tries to keep the Republicans focused on the upcoming election, the Democrats are doubling down on their leftist agenda to turn the US into a third world country through the UN Agenda 21 Wildlands Gateway projects.

The idea is to export the US natural resources to developing nations where the manufacturing and jobs will take place, turning our economy into a completely low wage and service economy. The Gateway projects are rail projects that connect cities, allowing people to use public transit to travel between cities where the McDonald’s jobs, the government jobs, and other service oriented jobs will be located. They will also connect the rural areas with natural resources to ports to ship out the raw materials, necessary for manufacturing jobs to other countries.

Patty Murray introduce S. 942 last week to provide government funding for all these projects, particularly, the shipping of coal from Murray’s own state, WA. They are spending a tremendous amount of money on advertising and media stories pushing the train/port agenda, including a special section in the WSJ. But then, they can afford it, the project is backed by Goldman Sachs, Warren Buffet, Jeffrey Imelt of GE, CARRIX, and of course, Richard Trumka, as head of the AFL-CIO and former head of the United Mine Workers.

The media will have to get involved for anything to change and for some reason, I don’t see that happening.

One would suppose that but sooner or later I look for them fall in line under the pressure of the people running the show, i.e. Soros and friends. JMO

Right. Unless the media are all die-hard commies, or have been threatened, they too be pay in the long run. Do they actually think they’re immune to what’s going to happen.

The MSM plays to and perpetuates the useful idiots who elected the fraud and disgrace that occupies our White House. The Regime and their useful idiots are destroying our country, destroying our freedom, and threatening our future.

We The People will have to get the truth out via The Tea Party and the Internet.

What Bammy does not realize, his own party will abandon him on Israel. This will sink his re-election campaign.
