A hat tip to Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune, who pointed out an interesting exchange between radio host Rush Limbaugh and former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who announced his candidacy for president Monday.

What utter nonsense. Rush isn’t buying the Vikings.

I could sing you a tune or promise you the moon,
But if that’s what it takes to hold you,
I’d just as soon let you go,

Maybe not, but Rush seemed truly startled by the question/comment from Pawlenty. I actually laughed at Rush’s reaction.

Pawlenty flustered Rush, but in a good way. It made me gain respect for Pawlenty. I’m not sure he can get through primary season by telling the truth (no ethanol subsidies in Iowa, for example), but I liked what he had to say. Plus, I researched his answer to Rush’s “the era of Reagan is dead” quote that the StarTrib attributed to Pawlenty, and yes, the StarTrib did issue a correction about it.

I agree and while he is not in my choices, I also have to agree with Rush, anyone including Elmer Fudd would get my vote over Obama.

Get the House stacked with a majority more like West and Bachman and they can control the agenda.

Remember, the LA Lakers were originally the Minneapolis Lakers.

That was classic T-Paw. He's quick on his feet. What dismays me about seeing him in the national spotlight, is that often he does seem somewhat reserved, stilted, not his usual self. However, once you can get him out of that realm and into more of a casual conversational setting, or even just a venue he's more used to, then he's very engaging, funny, articulate...much to like about the guy.

I’d prefer a candidate who can also carry the party not after being “termed out” lose the executive seat to the socialists . If 2012 does come to an Elmer Fudd I’ll vote for him. IT’S ABBBO’B

Yes, instead of getting a “tip of the hat” he should get the “reading too much into it” award.
