I remember this happening about 25 years ago to a woman who had had a hysterectomy and had an implanted baby on her bowel. she carried it through until the baby was losing ground and then they removed it and it lived. I hope that was an only child - can you IMAGINE the abuse the siblings would heap on the poor thing - "ewwww - you came from mommy's bowels! Mommy pooped you!" LOL

Actually child was on the outside of the bowels on the omentum (sp?) and the placenta attached and did its work.
